Within almost five hours drive from
Ouarzazate city lies the tribe of Ait marghad,to the north-east of that latter
.
According to the actual administrative division it belongs tothe rural
county of TILMI, which is in its turn a part of MSEMRIR ;and all off them are
part of the province of OUARZAZATE(district)
TILMI : It is a neighbourhood
15 Km (track road) far from MSEMRIR.it is locally known for its
weeklySOUK(market) held on thirsdays , but also preceded on wednesday by a
Souk for buying and selling livestock ;mainly : sheep &nd cows but also
mules & donkeys (with a lesser proportion).
Ait marghad :
A
mountainous country side on an altitude of more than 2000 m , surrounded by
some summits of the famous high Atlaschain. The nearest urbain village
(center) is within 66 Km far from Msemrir, and that is Boumalen Dades. and
along the way between both villages (i.e Boumalen & Ait marghad) one may
enjoy the splendid sights of the Dadès Gorges . highly very cliff mountains
severed by the road and the river.
Coming from Boumalen and arriving to
Msemrir the tarred road enfds there and after almost 3 kilometers and beside
the road runs cool water from a natural spring. Ait marghad is within an other
3 Km to the left , and to the right the route continues amid the arid hills to
TAMTATOUCHTE and then down to the Gorges of TODGHA i.e 15 Km left to
Tenerir(TINGHIR).
After the Ait marghad tribe begins the tribes of AIT
HDIDDOU among them are : Tilmi , Ait ali wikko, Ait moussa wicho,
......
The same landscape continues along the road for about 80 Km until
IMILCHIL where the national wide known "festival of
engagement(fiançaille)" is held each year on september.

la surface de la province de Ouarzazate est éstimée à 495 Km² & le
nombre d'habitants : à peu près de 694761 selon les statistiques de 1994
-la commune rural de TILMI: nombre d'habitants est estimé à 9110 et le
nombre de famille à 1456 selon les statistiques de la même année. et la
surface des territoires de cette commune est à peu près 15 Km².
