OK, so I went, I saw, and I lost my camera...
No, it was not the security that got it either...@#$#$#
I had a whale of a time on friday. I went downtown at like 8:00 AM, and went shopping first (well sort of...only spent like 70$, and bought 3 CD's...Tracy Chapman Matters of the Heart, Crossroads and Gowan, Au Quebec... BTW, this album PROVES that legal concert recordings should sell...)
So, I showed up at the Tower, at like 10:45, and meet (Andrew? 6_6" guy) and so forth. Then, we gravitated up to Lime Rickies, and sat down to get on with the serious FTE-together. We were, once again, seperated by the misfortunes of bad restaruant people. This is the second FTE-together that this has happened, that I have attended...and problably not the last :) I had a good time, and was in the corner table. We took some photos, and that was the last that I saw my camera...
OK, about the camera... IF by any chance any of the other FTE'rs picked it up, please drop me a line. It was a Yashica FX2000, with my name engraved on the bottom of it, along with my SIN.
So, I wandered off on my own, and headed down to MEC, to get some Cylume sticks. Then I went along Queen W. looking for any sarah boots, or rare stuff... but the stores seemed to have been sucked dry...( Gee, I wonder why?)
I continued on to Ontario Place, and got in. My recconing was that the ticket pouch said no PROFESSIONAL cameras, and since that was in writing, and delivered with the tic, that I would have used that as defence if they had searched me. (It wouldn't have mattered, since the camera wasn't there anyway...) Anyway, I get to the 200 section, and the usher for my row took a look at my tic, and said: You have one of the best possible seats. She took me up to my seat... At the Ampitheater, the 100 seats are below stage floor level. The start of the 200 series seats are level with the stage. I was in the second row of 200 series seats, at about 10 degrees from center stage...Just about the best seat possible. I was about 50-70 feet back from the stage.
This is when I discouvered that my camera had went for a walk...So, I was very happy about my seat, and very unhappy about my camera.
I would imagine that the show has been reviewed by other people, I can only say that it was a good show, by all people, and that everyone who was there in the outside seats who stayed was very brave. It Rained.
They moved the second stage people onto the main stage, and this was done very well.
IG were very good, Jewel seemed better than the first time that I saw her, and Sarah's Guitarist seems to have learned to play a little looser now. He still seems to be a studeo artist, but he can play fairly well (loosely, not technicaly, Technically he is right on).
Oh, I ran into some friends from summer camp. Just by chance, I went up for food, and ran right into them. This is the second set of people who I have ran into from camp in like 3 weeks...
Anyway, I had better go, and check to see if I am back on the list, and a few other things
