In the News... November 2003

Updated 14 November 2003

Fat Cats' at Wrexham Bus Station opened on 31 October 2003, to join Labrooke's next door as the two fitted-out and operational trading units within the bus station development

Meanwhile, Phase 2 of Wrexham Bus Station is due to open to the public on 14 December 2004. It will feature Arriva crew accommodation on its upper storey plus Shopmobility office and wheelchair storage and more lavatories

Note the revised Traxx livery for this Dennis Dart/Plaxton for GHA Coaches. From 1 September 2003, the service reverted to terminus of more recent times, at Ellesmere Port (rather than Hooton, as was the case for a number of years). Some journeys terminate at Cheshire Oaks

To the trained eye, it still seems odd to see Arriva Oswestry vehicles operating shorts between Wrexham and Cefn Mawr on Service 2

Meanwhile, service 1 vehicles are beginning to find themselves on other routes. Here on Service 26, it had previously operated on 32

Another vehicle on an unusual route was this Wright's bodied Dart on the 94. Note the advertisement on the side for a rail service which until 7 December 2003 technically competes with Wrexham's premier Service 1
