Karen E. Burnett (Karen Oberg), 61, Olathe, Kan., died Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
Karen was born December 12, 1946, in Kansas City, Kan., and was a lifelong area resident. She was a 1965 graduate of Wyandotte High School. Karen had been a business clerk at the Good Samaritan Center for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, James, Sr. and Katherine Oberg. Karen is survived by her husband of 36 years, Bill Burnett of the home; three children and their spouses, David and Shari Burnett, Olathe, Kan., Raymond Burnett, Blue Springs, Mo., Traci and Adam Gentry, Ottawa, Kan.; three grandchildren, Katherine Burnett, Blayke Reynolds and Jayci Gentry; a brother, James Oberg, Jr. and his wife Karen, Basehor, Kan.; a sister, Connie Oberg, Lenexa, Kan., and nieces and nephews.
