A little about me:

I was born, November 14,1933, in Byers,Texas, Clay County. I was born in a tent, near the banks of the great Red River, that divides Texas from Oklahoma, so in a sence I can claim both states as my home-state.(Yes, I was born during "The Great Depression"). I was the second child born to Willie Inez Chadwick, and Henry Davenport Tate. I have an older brother (by 17 months), Ivan Henry Tate, and a younger brother, Delton Jay Tate, and one younger sister, Ealtha Fay Tate Davis.

We came to California in 1943, and settled in E.Palo Alto,Ca. I attended Ravenswood Elementary School on Bay Road, E. Palo Alto, Ca, and also Junior high there. I went to Sequoia High School in Redwood City, Ca., for a year and a half, before I quit and got married. I married at 16 years of age, (May 13,1950-in E.Palo Alto,Ca), but it diden't work out. We were divorced. The only thing good to come out of that marriage was my precious, and only daughter, Meralinda (Linda) Sue Davis.

Soon after my divorce I met "The greatest man that God ever created", my precious Willie Thomas Davis.aka.. "Bill". We married January 31,1953, and renewed our vows July 27,1961; Bill and I had three sons, and almost 27 years of a wonderful life before he died, of a sudden massive heart attack, Miacardia Infarction)four days before Christmas, December 21,1979, in San Jose, California.
