Comanche Rebel

Another important step in our breeding program was the acquisition of Comanche Rebel in 1997.

Rebel was even featured in the Miniature Horse World Magazine after we used him to deliver a proposal for the advertising firm where I work. We got a three year contract for the Arkansas State Fair advertising as a result (in part)of Rebel's hard work.

Before selling in 2002, Rebel produced three daughters we want to keep, as well as other pretty babies with a splash (or more) of color.

First baby was Darlin, out of a daughter of Mel, Dayl'isley

The next keeper was Belladunna, out of a granddaughter of Mel, Elizabet May She was the first fourth-generation foal to be bred by us.

Then we got Wisteria, out of Romanas Jewel, a grey Paul Bunyan/Chianti bred mare. This means that Teri is linebred back on the Dixie Blasingame bloodlines.

As a lagniappe, 10 months after Rebel was sold, out of Tisher's Ekaterina, a silver-dapple pinto colt was born, at just under 18", with every bit of the personality and charisma of his daddy/
