For the second year in a row, Douglas has won the Charlie Lake Invite, proving, that not only can a 3A Team compete with the Top 4A schools, but dominate them as well. Douglas placed 11 of its 14 competitors, while runner up Cheyenne Central and 4th place Laramie each placed 8 and 7 respectively. According to Laramie Coach Ron Whitman "It was probably the toughest Cheyenne East Tournament we've been to in the past several years". Douglas was led by Tyson Shatto, coming off an impressive victory over State Champion Kyle Kilgore in last weeks Powell Tournament. In the finals,Tyson defeated another State Champ, Remington Trabing of Laramie.

Even more suprising was Cheyenne Centrals finish over #1 Laramie. Central Crowned the most Champions with 4, Dillon Stone at 103; Paul Tafoya at 160; Ben Vavra at 189 and Brian Walker at 275. Laramie will be seeking revenge this thursday when they travel to Central for a dual match up.
