They are calling her SageCreek Annie. Growing up in rural Wyoming with horses as best friends, her interests have always seemed to focus around horses and the 'Old West'. As she grew older, the Era of the Pony Express grabbed her soul. SageCreek Annie spent much time in research of the 'Era' and began sharing and promoting the pony express through reenactments and talks. Her audiences have varied from school children and historical groups, to the U.S. Postal Service.
There is a new movie release "WINDRIVER", of which she was on the advisory committee for the wardrobe of the pony express scene. The pony express scene recreates a mail exchange at the beginning of the movie. She also helped recreate an authentic pony express scene for the English film "Connections", which aired on educational TV channels.
SageCreek Annie's interest in history and horses doesn't stop there, she is involved with actively monitoring the local bands of wild horses near where she lives.
SageCreek Annie and her wild Wyoming Mustang 'Comanchero', will be on site speaking on pony express history. She will also be directing a reenactment of a pony express mail-bag exchange, (as they did it in 1860) using two local Wyoming girls as pony express riders.
