Dr. McFarland is the first woman college president in Wyoming and has served as President of CWC since 1989, after having previously served as Dean of the College. She received her bachelor’s and master’s from UW and her Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Utah. She serves as an NCA Consultant-Evaluator and has held a number of elective national offices, including a 3-year term on the Board of Directors for the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC); Chair of the AACC Presidents Academy; and Chair of the AACC Committee on Public Policy/Government Relations.
