LINDA P. FOREMAN

Linda Foreman was re-elected as a member-at-large of the National Board of Directors in October 1999 for a second three year term.

Throughout her life, Linda has never been far from Girl Scouting. A girl member for 10 years, she is a former national operational volunteer and s recipient of the Thanks Badge and the Thanks Badge II.

For the 1999-2002 triennium, Linda serves as Vice Chair of the Councils Committee (a standing committee of the National Board), Chair of the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace Advisory Group, and Chair of the Juliette Low World Friendship Fund Medal Review Group. In addition she is acting Chair of the National Task Group on Cadette and Senior Girl Scout Program, member of the Asset/Property Utilization Subcommittee of the Finance Committee, and member of the Steering Group for the National Meeting of Presidents and Executive Directors. Recently, Linda attended the 2002 World Conference of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) as a Member of the GSUSA delegation

In the prior triennium (1996-1999), Linda was appointed as National Board Liaison to Service Area 2, and served as a member of Councils Committee. She also held membership on the Steering Group for the 1999 National Convention, and on the Pluralism Task Group.

Previously in Girl Scouting, Linda was very active on the local board level. She held a variety of positions, including the following:

In Current community affairs, Linda serves Triangle United Way in several capacities. Professionally, she is director f a Professional Development Schools Program for Durham Public Schools. Linda received Phi Delta Kappa's Award for Outstanding Service in 2001
