Hope For the FutureMaggie Endres. We are on this earth together. It is my hope we can learn to embrace our similarities, and accept what makes us different. This square will be on the Washington, DC quilt. Peace For Those Gone Maggie Endres. To me the dove represents the hope for peace in our world, and also tranquility. For those who have lost their lives, I hope they have found peace and tranquility. For their families, I hope they can find comfort in loving memories, and with friends and family. This square will be on the DC quilt.
Sheryl's Quilt SquareSheryl McLaughlin. Sheryl says "I am from the Northern Arapahoe tribe and as a Native American, I share your pain and grief." Her square is Beautiful! This square will be on the Washington, DC quilt. Pauls's Quilt Square Paula Sauter. With each bead added, a prayer goes for everyone who has been personally involved with this tragedy. With each bead, my belief in our personal and national strength is solidified. With each bead, I am thankful for our Liberty. I am thankful to live in such a wonderful country. This square will be on the NY quilt.
Kerry's Quilt SquareKerry Collett. Kerry says "I have always loved our flag. If there is a small silver lining in the events of Sept. 11, it is the resurgence of patriotism and the proud flying of the flag. My grandparents are from Scotland, and I am proud of that heritage as well, and I am fascinated by the Celtic knot work of the ancient Picts. This square of beadwork is my attempt at joining one heritage with the other. If you look at the Celtic knot sideways, you can see two hearts intertwined, symbolizing the way our country's collective hearts have gone out to all the victims and their families!" This square will be on the Washington, DC quilt. Linda's Quilt SquareLinda Montoya. Feathers were used as a symbol for American Honor, Pride, & Prayers. This square will be on the NY quilt.
Corn Plant Tree of Life Maggie Endres. The Corn Plant Tree of Life. Red, white and blue birds help represent the United States Tree of Life. This country will survive and flourish. This square will be on the NY quilt. Wendy's Quilt SquareWendy Senter. As an Active Duty member of the United States Air Force, I have much pride in this great nation we live in. I chose this rendition of the stars and stripes combined with the bald eagle as a symbol of the strength we have as a nation to overcome this tragedy. This square will be on the NY quilt.
One Nation Jeff Clark. As one nation we must stand together regardless of our differences. This square will be on the Washington, DC quilt.
