The Golden Shower

Can you feel the waves rush in, sloshing between your toes, lifting the weight of your body from the sand like a magician performing levitation?  The foaming fingers crawl along your body, a gentle liquid caress across your legs and arms and neck.  Closing your eyes only heightens the sensations.  The waves recede in slow motion - returning your body to the sandy earth; stranding granules of sand on your flesh - a tantalizing tingle trailing down your body.  A soft ocean breeze cools the salty beads resting on your skin, like a bejeweled sculpture glistening under the sun’s golden shower.  The waves disappear in the depths of the sea, rejoining the vast undulating currents that swell in the eyes of dreamers and bathe the bodies of lovers.

You feel multitudinous bumps grow on your skin from the cooling air, fighting back surges of shivers - it’s such a long wait for the next adventurous wash of warmth.
