Shy by the Light

In this night, serenity;
By candlelight, your grace;
Your perfect beauty native;
Your smile in it’s place.

I feel the warmth within your heart,
You sometimes shine it through.
I know you feel my devotion;
You know my eyes burn true.

I watch your grace so carefully -
Your motions, how they tell;
The dancing flicker of the fire
Lighting curves so well.

How can I whisper wilder words?
How can I tantalize?
A touch - it borders intimate;
A kiss falls short of cries.

I want to hear your breath escape -
It pleasures and it pains.
But when the night falls numb and silent,
The latter quickly wanes.
