I enjoy painting and creating models horses and giving them a unique character. I have always loved to paint, so I do some of my models by hand. However I am now using an airbrush and also doing some pastel work too.
I have a few models that were not customised by me, but by one of my friends and Deb Poole. They are pictured below.
LATEST UPDATE!
I have recently finished some new models. I am also in the process of doing a Classic Grey Tobiano, and an Appaloosa.
*Sorry that the photos are rather large* "V.V Sublime Audacity"
This little lady is a bright chestnut thoroughbred. She has been airbrushed in acrylics to a beautiful chestnut. Nicely shaded. Also had pastel highlights and been delicately hand detailed with acrylic. She has 4 long white stockings with striped hooves of cream and black. One hoof is all cream. Her mane and tail are a verigated colour and softer to her body coat. She has black shading on her muzzle, ears, eyes and *female parts* :P She also has a nice big white star on her forehead and a small snip that has been delicately pinked. All her 'wet parts' have been glossed and she is just beautiful.
Sublime has a few different meanings, but I particularly like this one: adjective- worthy of adoration or reverence; inspiring awe. Audacity means: noun- fearless daring. So I like to think that horse has an awe inpsiring fearlessness to it. So she is brave and courageous.
**FOR SALE!**
"V.V Bella Brios"
The second one is a pretty little Paso Fino. She is a flea bitten grey (my first flea bit!) and she is stunning! Little flecks of chestnut are over her white coat, and she has a slight 'bloody shoulder' mark appearing on one shoulder. Her legs have been slightly greyed and 2 of her hooves are also striped with cream and black. The other two hooves are plain black and plain cream respectively. She has also been done by airbrushing with acrylics and has had further pastel and hand painting highlights. She has a very cute little face with a lovely pink and black nose. There is also black shading around her eyes, ears and female parts. All her 'wet parts' have been glossed and she is looking just gorgeous! I really love her 'speckly' coat- its so pretty!!
Brios is pronounced 'bree-o' and has a nice spanish fling to it! Which suits the spanish bred Paso. Brios actually means: Spirit, dynamic energy.
**SOLD TO TASMANIA!**
I just finished this little SM model during March 2005. He is my first attempt at a pastel finish and I just love him. He has little mane plaits and his tail braided too. A lovely dapple grey coat, he is just stunning. I am currently keeping him, so he is not for sale!
This model I just finished on the 21/2/05. I am really pleased with how she turned out. I have not decided on a name for her though- so if you have any ideas, please let me know!
"Valley Views Kyralee"
I painted this Grand Champion model as a Christmas present for one of my close friends. I really love how she turned out, considering the picture below is how she looked originally.
The above photo is a before and after shot. The model was a cheap hard plastic one I had had since childhood. I decided to give her a bit of a new life! She was going to be an Akhal Teke, but has turned out to be a Saddlebred more. I still need to adjust her mane and tail slightly.
This little fellow above was also a Grand Champion from my child hood. I decided to make him a very dark dapple grey Thoroughbred. I still need to adjust his mane and tail.
Pictured below is how he looked before.
For Christmas 2003 I decided to give 2 of my close friends a model each I had painted. I had two cheaper models, so I painted both of them. Below are their before and after.

"Valley Views Vivace"
Below are two models that were customed by my friend. I really love both of them!
The first one is a replica model of my own horse Charlie wearing a halter I made.
"Nevada Naheechis Wimpy"
"V.V Splish Splash"
This beautiful stallion pictured below was painted and repositioned by Deb Poole. He was originally a Thoroughbred SM. He now has mane plaits and a tail plait, sculpted hooves and chestnuts on his legs. He has been reshaped so his head is 'on the bit.' I think he is just lovely!
Photo below taken by Deb Poole.
