UNDER CONSTRUCTION...IN AFFILIATION WITH MIDSTREAK AUTOWERX
Today's Signal Auto press conference at All Star Hawaii was alot of fun. The Signal Auto staff, Kousuke Kida, Drifter X driver, Fumiaki Komatsu, and Drifter XL driver, Kazuya Bai, was present to give us info about the event. They were also there to answer some of the questions that was in the minds of our local drifters. Also on display were the vehicles of Signal Auto, the pair of twin Nissan 180sx drift monsters. I was blown away to see these identical twins sitting poised side by side. Although Kida, Komatsu, and Bai were getting hammered with picture taking and autograph signing, the Signal Auto staff has a great attitude and a great sense of humor. What can I say, I LOVE SIGNAL AUTO!
The Test/Tune and Qualify for the Signal Auto Event was a huge success. With a huge amount of competitors and with the skill level increasing, it was a battle between every driver that participated. Only 18 drivers had been selected to run with the big boys from Japan, 4 drivers as backups. Unfortunately, I didn't make the cut to run at the upcoming event, but I had a lot of fun and had a lot of practice runs on the short course. Throughout the day, there was a big field of Hachirokus that dominated the entry field. There were also the familiar faces of your Drift Session regulars. On the track, there were loads of burning rubber, clouds of smoke, and debree of tires all over. When all was over, the 18 drivers were selected with 4 backups. The field of drivers will almost be similar to last years Signal Auto event. Congratulations to all the drivers who has made it to challenge Japan's finest.
