| Since their debut in 1999, Swollen Members have captivated the hip-hop music scene in Canada. From their first album "Balance", which sold over 50,000 copies, to the two albums that quickly followed which both went double platinum, this group opened new doors in Canada for many other hip-hop artists. Their success as a group has proven that Canadian music has evolved into something very diverse. This British Columbian group has received two Juno Awards - one in 2001 for best Rap Recording. They have also won four MuchMusic Video Awards. Swollen Members have had a huge impact on the modern stage of Canadian music and they will no doubt continue to thrive in mainstream hip-hop. |
