The attitude of this other individual is such that it made both Genjuro and I truly angry. He was so intent on acquiring these items that he would endanger the lives of others to fulfill his desires, even attempting to persuade us not to decode the generator by saying such things as "No no no. This one is bugged." Herein lies the greed that so many of our brothers have succumbed to and that I fear we all fight, at least in part, a secret war within ourselves.

Why is it necessary for others to be put in danger solely for one's own benefit? We understand why one may want to hunt the Golems, but the area that this Generator was in endangered many adventurers who were still in the early stages of their training. It was our duty and custom to remove the immediate danger first by destroy the Generator. After that, we remove the remaining dangers, both the Mage Controllers and Iron Golems.

This event was merely the latest in what has become an all too common sight for myself and my fellow guild members. It forces the question of when does someone have enough of a thing to be satisfied? When does one satisfy his or her desire for more? When will one learn to put such trivial desires behind themselves and do things not because they will profit from it but because they know it is right? Only time will tell.
