| Fruit Basket A girl named Tohru Honda loses her mother in a car accident and sets up a tent in the middle of a forest because she didn't want to bother anyone. but her placement is on someone else's property, the property of the souma family, a mysterious family that tends to keep to themselves. and tohru happens to find out their secret. thirteen unlucky people turn into animals of the zodiac variety. and the head of the souma family (akito souma) chose not to brainwash her (the dragon of the zodiac can do that). plus, she was allowed to live with three of them. two being her classmates, kyo souma (cat, sad) and yuki souma (rat), and her new guardian being shigure souma (dog, slightly lecherous and odd). she's the new housemaid for them since they can't cook too well or keep clean. haha. and tohru's very special because for some reason, the thirteen people of the curse are sad about their lives and what tohru says to them makes them feel happy (she usually quotes her mother). so they all love her for it and want her friendship. and so forth. it's a cute shojo anime. terribly funny too. 10. |
