Clan Manhattan

Here's a brief introduction and description of Clan Manhattan's members, human, gargoyle, and other. Relatives who are characters in the original Gargoyles television series are in bold face, characters from The Gargoyles Saga are in italics.
Rosanna
(Rose Maza)

Rosanna is the leader of the clan, mostly by virtue of her bloodline: her parents were Goliath and Elisa Maza. She is also the most experienced of the clan in matters both human and gargoyle. She has a tendency to let her heart lead her, a trait no doubt learned by her father. However, this also tends to get her into trouble. It also drives her crazy that she should be anything like her father: she has a very strained relationship with him.
She has proven herself time and again in command of the Clan, overcoming personal grief and near-death to bring the Earth Resistance to the brink of victory. The war has taken its toll on her, though ... most of the right side of her face had to be removed (the result of a Rokkan-bred retro-virus' devastation) and replaced with a cybernetic implant, and additionally other than Beth Maza and Slash, Rosanna is the last of the Maza bloodline alive; the invaders have already taken her uncle's (Talon) and grandparents' lives. The only good thing that has come out of the invasion for her is the love of her life, Rain.
Ideal Voice:Alison Court(X-Men, Beetlejuice)

Samson

Samson was Rosanna's second in command, as well as her nephew: his parents are Broadway and Angela. He has some cybernetic body parts necessary to his survival, including an artificial heart. These implants were given to him by Xanacorp, and enhanced with magic, the better to be compatible with his non-human body. He is, by far, the strongest of Clan Manhattan, which is the main reason he was second in command. However, magical manipulation by his grandmother Demona has placed him at her side, fighting with the Rokkans.
During his time with Demona, though, a bizarre mutative condition he has which makes him age faster has worsened. Demona tried to at least stop this condition from moving to further generations by attempting to force her genetically engineered Rokkan/gargoyle hybrid creation Thorn to conceive an egg with him, only to fail. He may not survive much longer without magical interference.
Ideal Voice:Kevin Sorbo(Hercules: The Legendary Journeys)

Slash

Slash is Rosanna's cousin: his parents were Talon (Derek Maza) and Maggie Reed, two of the Labyrinth mutants. He is affectionately called "the day shift," because he is the only one who can effectively guard the castle during the day. He is also partially retarded, because of his mutant heritage.
He, along with the rest of the clan, has recently learned that the occupants of the Labyrinth were all mysteriously murdered, only sparing Slash himself. Because this discovery accompanied a Rokkan ambush, Slash is more aligned than ever to destroying the Rokkan threat.
Ideal Voice:Not applicable

Alexander Fox Xanatos

Alexander is the son of David and Fox Xanatos, and heir to his father's Xanacorp empire. Because he, like the newer gargoyles, grew up within the safety of the Aerie building, he considers himself like a brother to them, especially Rosanna. He is an accomplished sorcerer, thanks to his fae heritage and the training of Puck, who as Owen Burnett remains at the side of a Xanatos, still.
Ideal Voice:Tate Donovan(Hercules)

Graeme, Ariana, and Nudnik

Graeme and Ariana, the children of Brooklyn and Sata, stayed behind in Manhattan when their parents rejoined their mother's native clan in Japan. Nudnik has also grown and matured: he doesn't drive Owen nearly as insane as before. The twins have developed an intense loyalty to Rosanna, and will follow her everywhere, sometimes blindly. They have also matured: Ariana has taken a mate (Samson) and born a hatchling (Solomon), and Graeme has entered a relationship with Clan newcomer Liberty. Now that Samson is with Demona, Ariana is more determined than ever to defeat her.
Ideal Voices:
Graeme:Garrett Wang(Star Trek: Voyager)
Ariana:Irene Ng(The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo)
Nudnik:Frank Welker (who else?)

Steve Bluestone

Steve is Matt Bluestone's son, an NYPD detective-first class at the 23rd Precinct, the same precinct his father worked out of. He's drawn to the clan when several strange attacks occur, directed at him, the 23rd Precinct building, and his father. At his father's urging, he seeks out Rose Maza, who inducts him into the clan.
He now coordinates with the Clan's offensives from the background, usually in concert with New York's human resistance led by General (formerly police Captain) Maria Chavez.
Ideal Voice:Robert Duncan McNeill(Star Trek: Voyager)

Goliath

The former leader of Clan Wyvern, later Clan Manhattan, Goliath is Rosanna's father, but a shadow of who he used to be. He has lost much of his strength, mainly in grief over the death of his love, Elisa Maza, whom he was too late to rescue. In his grief, he has drawn away further from his own daughter, and as a result she doesn't feel much love for him ... he won't let her.
The crisis has brought about his better instincts, though. Goliath has become as active a participant in the Clan's counteroffensive actions as he ever had been, even before Elisa's demise.
Voice:Keith David

Broadway

Samson's father, the formerly jovial blue gargoyle, has grown more mature, wizened, and acts as a calming influence on his son. Two things have affected him deeply: he was blinded in an unruly riot, and his mate, Angela, left him to be at the side of her mother, Demona. The gathering of knowledge was his way of grieving.
Voice:Bill Fagerbakke

Sir Griff and Brianna

Formerly a London gargoyle, formerly a knight-errant under Arthur Pendragon, Griff was released from service to Arthur by a duty even greater: a duty to fight another great war. Because the strongest gargoyle clan in the world is considered to be Clan Manhattan, he has arrived in New York, to offer his assistance. His arrival was greatly welcomed by the clan.
Brianna has now come to Manhattan to join her beloved mate, after the Rokkans summarily slaughtered Clan London during a worldwide assault on gargoyle clans. Though frightened and distrusting, especially of recent Clan Manhattan addition Liberty, she now stands ready to defend Manhattan by her mate's side.
Voice of Griff:Neil Dickson
Ideal Voice for Brianna: Emily Watson ("Breaking the Waves", "Hillary and Jackie")

Nokkar

An alien soldier sent to defend Earth as a strategic point in an alien conflict, Nokkar has left his Easter Island station to come to Manhattan. His greatest fear has come to pass - the invasion he was sent to prevent over a millennuim ago has begun. Because New York is a strategic point in any invasion of Earth, he has come to enlist the help of Clan Manhattan to repel the invasion.
Voice:Avery Brooks

Lexington, Pontiac, and Cadillac

The youngest of the infamous Trio of Clan Manhattan, Lexington has spent the last 20 years in Detroit, having left to see more of the world, like Goliath, Elisa, and Bronx had. However, he settled with a gargoyle clan in Detroit, taking a mate and having a daughter with her. Having kept close watch on New York during the alien crisis, Lex has returned, bringing his mate, Pontiac, and their daughter Cadillac with him to help the clan fight the Rokkan threat.
Voice of Lex:Thom Adcox Hernandez
Ideal voices:
Pontiac:Frances McDormand (Fargo)
Cadillac:Mary Kate or Ashley Olson

Liberty

Formerly a younger member of the Rokkans' security forces, this gigantic female was befriended by Rosanna while Rosanna was imprisoned within the aliens' mother ship. Wounded in a battle, Rosanna promised to help her if she would release Rosanna. Because Liberty was dying, Rosanna brought her to Castle Wyvern, where Alexander Xanatos healed her injuries in the only possible way he could ... he turned her into a full-blooded gargoyle. She has now been with the Clan for several months, and is considered an invaluable resource to the Clan. And to Graeme, she's much more.
Ideal Voice: Renee O'Connor (Xena: Warrior Princess)

Lina and Rain

Newcomers from the Avalon clan, Lina volunteered herself and Rain (a male she had only met the night before for the first time) as Avalon's champions to the outside world, to face the Rokkan threat. Lina has an infamous reputation for driving allies and enemies alike incredibly crazy with her attitude and youthful exuberance; however, this can get the better of her judgment. Rain, on the other hand, is a calming influence on his companions, especially Rosanna, as he has entered a serious relationship with her. Magic is very important to both Lina and Rain: Lina has a limited knowledge of Avalonian magic and is being trained in the Way by Beth Maza, while Rain wears a Guatemalan gargoyle pendant which prevents his stone sleep during the day.
Additionally, revelations made during the recent blitzkrieg the Rokkans staged around the world that destroyed most of the gargoyle clans worldwide brought Rain's destiny to light, as well as his parentage. By way of Rain's pendant, it was learned that not only are his parents Turqueza of clan Guatemala and Coyote the Trickster, but he also learned that it is his destiny to act as his father's revenge against the Weird Sisters ... by destroying them.
Ideal Voices:
Lina:Kristy McNichol (Invasion America)
Rain:Stephen Collins (7th Heaven)

Mustang, Dodge, and Buick

More newcomers to New York, these three gargoyles are Pontiac's clanmates from Detroit. Mustang, the clan's leader, has followed his rookery sister's actions closely, especially since she's been so close to a war zone, and he just can't help worrying. He is a fine warrior, when he isn't distracted by anything. Dodge swore he would never leave Detroit, never leave the grave of his beloved mate Eagle, but because he may not survive the invasion he has joined Mustang in New York, and will fight with abandon alongside his fellow fighters. Buick, though, doesn't care too much about what's going on ... the driving doggoyle is just angry that coming to New York meant he had to leave his custom-rigged Buick Skylark behind in Detroit.
Ideal Voices:
Mustang:Michael T. Weiss (The Pretender)
Dodge:Lance Henriksen (Millennium)
Buick:Frank Welker

Coyote

Brought to the Castle by a called favor from Oberon, Coyote has offered his aid in any capacity he can offer it, so long as the Puck remains out of the action. He has already been of assistance in keeping Rosanna alive during her life-saving surgery and in bringing Lina to Beth Maza, in order to learn the Way. The main reason why he fights, though, is his self-imposed guardianship of the Maza bloodline ... which currently places his duties with Rosanna and Beth.
He also finds himself in a parental role with the Clan ... namely, guiding his halfling son Rain toward his destined clash with the Weird Sisters.

Lili

Brought to New York by Vinnie (Brooklyn's old drinking buddy from Ishimura), Lili (short for Lili'uokolani) is the last of Clan Honolulu, a forgotten gargoyle clan in Hawaii that was the last clan destroyed by the Rokkan gargoyle purge. Lili is not the happiest of persons ... as upon hers and Vinnie's arrival in New York, the Rokkans killed her mate, Ka'auna ... she is more than dedicated to fighting the invasion, as she considered Clan Honolulu's benefactor, Thomas Bishop, like a brother and he was apparently killed in the Rokkan attack on Honolulu.
Voice: Tia Carrere
