THE WWF INTERVIEW with THE BEAT-DOWN KING (Brian Vander Ark) |
Lucas (WWF.com interviewer): I know that you're a WWF fan, but who would you say is your favorite superstar? Brian: I got hooked on the WWF while on tour...my favorite superstar is The Rock (with an honorable mention going to Stone Cold) - The Rock is so dynamic behind the mic and in the ring - he definitely knows his role. Lucas: If you were a WWF Superstar, what would your name be? Brian: Brian Vander Ark - The Beat-Down King. Lucas: If you could have a match with any other musician inside a steel cage, who would it be? Brian: I'd take on Art Alexakis of Everclear in a no-holds-barred steel cage match...Juli Ashton of the Playboy Channel's "Night Calls" would be in my corner. Juli actually appears in our video for "Hero." She's a great motivator! Lucas: What current musician would make the best WWF Superstar? Brian: It's a toss-up between John Popper and Meatloaf...they'd make a devastating tag-team combo, though. Lucas: A lot of people liken the worlds of the WWF to that of rock music for a variety of reasons, one of which is the fact that there is so much energy at a live show. Can you try and describe what it's like to play live in front of thousands of people? Brian: Getting up in front of thousands of screaming fans is like openin' up a can of whup ass on the enemy. It's such a release - and when the crowd gives you the same amount of energy back, it gets taken to a whole new level. One of the reasons I love the WWF is because they have the best fans...I'd love to see a documentary done on hardcore WWF fans. |
