No Compromise

At no time was I hired by zim but rather collaborated with him to produce songs for OUR band. This means we had a 50/50 relationship where I wrote the lyrics for 34 songs and vocal melodies over the course of one year. I recorded these songs with zim at the Olive Room Studios for 6 months. Furthermore, I made the arrangements for our studio time and covered the majority of the expenses incurred for producing the master recordings. My image as XTB was established prior "Thickhead" to the Pleistocene project. But we agreed it would be an image and name that would fit this project as with many of the lyrics. After dedicating over a year of my life to writing songs for an awesome project with zim, someone I considered a friend, I can't help but feel betrayed and used while he casually dismissed me and races forward to market OUR band. At this point I am unsure how to handle all of this. I feel his announcements nad accusations are unfair and mean-spirited. I am mostly saddened that my contribution to Pleistocene are being diminished in the eyes of the fans. And I would encourage anyone who truly cares to know the truth, to listen to me directly, and not to anyone else that would try to put words in my mouth for me. Presently, I am in a studio recording with a new project. Soon to be release. As of remarks made in postings put forward the public, I find that very "unprofessional" as one would say. The fact of the matter is it has nothing to to with fans and websites or band members I have never even been introduced to, it has to do with zim and me and contracts being unable to reach an agreement. As of slanderous remarks, I will try to turn the other cheek and disregard snide comments that were made. For I am willing to move on. I do wish him the best with his project. The contract should have been served before I had written the 34 songs for the band, and NOT after the fact. It would have saved us both a lot of time and embarassment. I would like to state something. What I have gotten out of this project was getting to meet some interesting people who I do consider friends. You know who you are. I have spoken with you and I hope to continue to do so. None of the fans should have been put in the middle because we couldn't settle our differences. I would like to thank those of you who have supported me whether if it was for singing and writing with zim or for whatever reasons. Also, for those of you who did websites on me, I would like to thank you for your creativity and your time as artists. Hopefully, you will be pleased with my future project. I thank you.
