| Riot Grrrl originated in the punk movement. Grrrls and womyn in the movement didnt feel like there was enough support for womyn so they started groups and zines and bands and started to get together! They called thier new faction of the Punk Movement RIOT GRRRLS! Riot grrls is just grrrls getting together for a cause. Those grrls are everywhere, in college, on the streets, in high skool, middle skool, preps, jocks, punks, folky people, hippies, sXe, vegans and lesbians. When a grrrls wants to fight for her rights, she has a little peice of riot grrrl in her, if we can put all of these scattered peices together we could have one real powerful grrrl. A grrrl that will stomp out sexism, unequal pay and jobs, domestic violence, rape, and the idea that womyn are just a "pretty decoration on a man's arm." This grrrl is really in all of us.
