Galzilla meets Diamond Jim Brady at Shenandoah Ford

Diamond Jim: Jim's family owned Front Royal Motors since 1932. Jim and Wes Dawson teamed up in 1961 and ran a 61 Starliner. This car was the fastest Ford five straight weeks at Mason-Dixon. Bruce Larson came down from PA with the Mr Ford 406 on 6th weekend and everyone thought it was over for Jim. Not so, as Jim shut Larson down. Later, Jim got a 63 1/2 lightweight Galaxie. This car won S/S at Mason-Dixon, York, etc. It was top stock eliminator at York and was second only to Dick Brannan's car for quickest time by a S/S Ford at the track. Jim came back in the 1990's with a Nostalgia 61 and ran very strong in the NSCA circuit. Jim is well liked wherever he goes. Normally Jim does not venture any further north than Carlisle PA, which is right around the high water mark for the Confederacy. The Booze Bros own the 61 Front Royal car and Joe Conlon now owns Jim's old 1963 Lightweight Galaxie. (information provided by Charlie Morris, Jim's biggest Yankee fan.)
