Changing Your Xbox's name for Xbox System-link When you play system for LAN parties or over the net with software tunnels such as gamespy and xbconnect, you will notice that every Xbox has this litle nickname to identify itself. This is a random name selected out of 30 give to the Xbox this nick name. It wasn't meant to be changed, however there are a few games that were released shortly after the Xbox's release that did this by a BUG. You can use the following games to change the name of your Xbox. Dead or Alive 3: play survival mode and enter your name on the rank list. Project Gothem Racing: create a driver mode. Moto GP: create a team for seaon mode. Cel Damage: anywhere in-game. Championship Manager: european game only. Anywhere in-game. You can also change your name if you have your Xbox modded. You can edit your nickname.xbn file with a hexeditor such as homebrew to change your name. You'll also need to use Evox so you can FTP into your xbox to get to the file. -Redkaven
