A ES335 type semi-hollow body is interesting because I
never was able to properly identify the model. It has the block inlays like
the model 2630(gold hardware) but came stock with chrome hardware and no
tri-sound switch as well as no binding in the "f" holes. It also lacked the
"cloud" tailpiece that was standard on the 2630. The 2630 seems to be the
predecessor of the AS200 (John Scofield) model. In fact,the new John Scofield
model incorporates the features of the 2630 by having the input jack on the
side of the guitar as well. A joy to play with great tone and action. Mike Graves |
