d o c u m e n t : c o n t a c t : w o r d s : m u s i c : l i n k as friends rust - possibly the only band that's ever gotten away with writing the same song over and over again...because it's such a good song. at the drive-in - do I hear rock ladies and gentlemen? I believe I do. away from now - another band with that obvious "we wanna be one inch punch " thing going on. But unlike my old band, not in a bad way. You really have to check these guys out because on a good night they're a fucking awesome live band. bjelke peterson youth - fucking blew me away whe I first heard the 7 inch, then saw them live. Bands like this keep you passionate and enjoying music. Especially seeing as they have something a lot of bands around don't have anymore...a sense of humor. blueline medic - say rock! say roll! botch - they broke up, but they still rock the baboon's arse bridges to canada - the adventures of the world's most beautiful girl and her jerkarse boyfriend. buddyhead - punk rock needs more people like these guys. the casket lottery - intricate and beautiful music. When am I ever not wearing my Casket Lottery shirt? This site is layed out really well too. deadstare - one of the few reasons to like NSW deplorable recordings - put out some of my favourite records in the last twelve months dork records - has the potential to be one of the best things that happened to melbourne in a while. All I know at the moment is that the kids seem very committed with some great ideas. dying breed - melbourne hardcore, wasn't really into them THAT much until I had a good listen to the CD. I confess myopinions have changed, not only are they fun live, with intelligence and originality in the lyrics, but the music's pretty rad. Chalk it up to me being an idiot. Page's done by Craigos too. far left limit - part of what I refer to as the 'all ages trinity' (but I'm a bastard). Thrash with a sense of humor, and great fun live. Got a couple splits coming out with deadstare, including one on 625. found my direction - don't know what's up with this band, or their site? Are they still around? Are they gonna get off their arses and put up a website? All I know is that while they're a rad band, they can't play soccer for shit, ya hear me!? gasping for breath - the thing says it's going to be open on October 1st, but there's a guestbook so you can get started with your shit talk early. Should be interesting when it happens. gash records - Dave's distro. The guy behind the table at the shows. Buy shit from him. headwealth - radio show, zine, distro, breakfast cereal, all done by a very, very rad person. Soon to be updated in a big way. heartfelt self - a good band, who changed and got even better, then broke up. this is their website done by aidan. hot water music - consitently amazing and moving punk band from gainsville, florida, who write a damn fine rock tune. identity theft - dada dada da da daaa da da, dada danana danana danana <==== singing the riff to new world odour. No more words will be spoken. The riff is enough. the incredible dead goons - I used to be in this band. But don't hold that against them or anything. They're actually really good now. misanthropy - Kristy's page . For those of us that love our metal european, and uh, 'core'. Or something. Great personal writing too. mindsnare - finally they have a webpage. Another part of the Craigos empire. look for the photos of the chump in the gorliia suit the nation blue - picture shouting in prononounced australian accents in the general direction of the microphones, distortion on absolutely everything, a lot of feedback, and some damn fine rock and roll. plea of insanity - it's all about the word 'insanity' with this band. they fucken rule. buy the cd. punkclones - crazy site, really well laid out with heaps of info, frequently updated. reclusion - Joel's page, interesting stuff from a really nice guy. revolt records - andrew's baby. One of the best comp lineups I've seen in a long time - excpet for our fucking godawful live songs. hopefully more to come from this boy. sense of purpose - it's all about Kombi core. shai hulud - yeah, you've probably heard them if you're at this site. They're rad. The site's really cool too. small brown bike - shouted guitar rock, lots and lots and lots of octave chords, tight pants, little bon jovi lead riffs. goddamn bomb, knowing you, you love it. the snowtown barrels - the future of music snubfighter - yeah, okay, it's my old band. I'm still going to link the page, so deal with it. status empire - it's status baby. Enough said. the teddy royals - rock with a capital R O C K. You have to see this band live to understand just how much they own a stage. through these eyes - hey, jac or lids? where's the new page? trial and error - this label put out the nation blue CD. What more do you want? Well, if you are greedy and do want more, it's probably here. Biatch. two words spoken - (the question begs to be asked, but I'm not doing it...) Newish HC site, covering both east and west coasts. unfinished business - hands down the best example of an online hardcorezine I've seen. Absolutley straight to the point and bullshit free waxwing - another reason why status rules: this band. Words don't really do them justice so I advise you just to give their first record, 'for madmen only' a listen. When am I ever not wearing my Casket Lottery shirt? When I'm wearing my waxwing one. That was lame. The band isn't. what the heck *is* emo anyway? - witty and informative. Comprehensive timeline type of history thing, terms explained, and the piss taken with shit like ''how to name your emo band' and 'fashion tips'. Also worth it for one or two rad live photos of still life. s t a r t o v e r |
