the first time i ever entered a court of law was in the early sixties.
i was quite young then and was running an errand for my grandpa -
hand over his lawyer his fee.
after that i had never been any where near a court of law;
that is till recently.
since 2002 i have spent ( or rather wasted )
a lot of my time in the hallowed portals of the highest court in the state.
i was dragged into litigation by the obstinate refusal of the
dme to give a decision one way or the other on my
representation against the adverse remarks in my confidential report
- he was bound to do so by law.
i tried all the the other avenues and waited in vain for
four years before i approached the judiciary.
my first writ petition on the matter was decided in my favour
and the dme was ordered to give a decision on the representation.
so after about five years of my representation,
the dme gave a decision rejecting my representation.
i filed another writ petition and got the dme's above decision
quashed. incidentally i myself presented this case in the high court
- in the first case i had hired the serrvices of a lawyer.
this time again the dme gave a decision rejecting the representation.
my petition challenging this decision was admitted on 03 march 2004.
