Ares tires of being mortal and calls upon Xena to help him regain his god hood. But the furies are messing with his mind, trying to get him killed so they can gain power now that the gods on Olympus are dead.

06-114 THE HAUNTING OF AMPHIPOLIS

Xena, Gabrielle and Eve travel to Amphipolis to see Xena's mother, only to learn that she was killed. She'd been burned at stake for being a witch. Xena must then battle Mephistopheles who is haunting her house and caused her mother to go crazy.She kills him, but not before being told that whoever kills him must take his place as the king of Hell. In this episode she almost but not quite teaches Gabrielle the pinch.

06-115 HEART OF DARKNESS

To avoid having to take Mephistopheles place in Hell Xena tries to turn Arch Angel Lucifer so he will take her place. She attempts to seduce him. At the same time, all the people in Ampipolis, except Eve, slowly have their heart poisioned by the open hell pit waiting to be filled.

06-116 WHO IS GURKHAN?

When Gabrielle returns to Potadia and learns that she has a niece Sarah who has been kidnapped by the warlord Gurkhan. She sets sail for North Africa with Xena, Eve, and Virgil intending to kill Gurkhan and save her niece.

LEGACY

While travelling through the desert Xena and Gabrielle come across two feuding tribes. They step in to help but only makes things worse when Gabrielle accidently kills one of the tribe members and Xena blames it on the rival tribe. When the truth is found out, Gabrielle is set to be executed. Xena must jump-start the war between the tribes to get a chance to save her friend.

THE ABYSS

Virgil and Gabrielle are captured by cannibals. Xena must free them.

RHINEGOLD

Xena is called upon by Beowolf to stop a monster she created in her past.We learn that the monster is Grinhilda, a Valkyrie who Xena met years ago. The rings only works for those who have forsaken love. Grinhilda hadn't and it turns her into a monster. Gabrielle follows her to the Norse lands.

THE RING

Gabrielle and Xena meet in the Norse lands and work together to stop the monster that Xena created with a ring forged out of the Rhinegold. When she gets the ring she has to keep it from Odin so she puts it on and loses her memory. Gabrielle is put into an eternal flame.

THE RETURN OF THE VALKYRIES

Beowolf searchs for Xena a year later to get Gabrielle out of the flame. Only her soul mate can pass through the flame.

OLD ARES HAD A FARM

Ares hides out in Amphipolis from warlords who've put a bounty on his head.

Xena and Gabriellle go to the Norse lands to get the golden apples that turn whoever eats them into a god. As they do, they are followed by a tv reporter who tries to piece together what they are doing.

PATH OF VENGANCE

Eve returns to the Amazon lands to make peace for her past crimes but is captured and Varia pushes for her execution. Gabrielle invokes the Royal Challenge and loses, so Xena challenges Varia and, convinces the other girl to let Eve go.

TO HELICON AND BACK.

Varia has been captured and Gabrielle must lead the Amazons on a dangerous mission to get her back.

SEND IN THE CLONES

In the future, the re-incarnation or Alti creates Clones of Xena and Gabrielle so she can have that last great battle.

THE LAST OF THE CENTAURS

Borias' son is angered that his daughter's lover is Xenan, a Centaur and orders many of the Centaurs killed and his daughter brought back to him. Guided by the spirit of Ephiny, Xena and Gabrielle work to help the couple stay together.

SOUL POSESSION

In a combination future and flashback episode the show goes back to the third season and explains what happened in the time between when Gabrielle fell into the fire pit and she and Xena meet in Potadia. MANY HAPPY RETURNS On Gabrielle's birthday she and Xena travel cross country, heading to Athens to return a helmet to Apollo. On the way they meet up with a girl willing to sacrifice herself to her god. They try with the help of Aphroditie to convince her to change her mind. They are also being pursued by thugs who want the helmet and the priests who want the girl.

WHEN FATES COLLIDE

Ceasar captures the Fates and manipulates their loom to change his Fate. In this new life he has created, he is emperor and Xena is his emporess. All is well, until Gabrielle, as a bard, arrives to perform a play and there is an instant connection.Everything begins to unravel, and Xena begins to figure out what happened. Ceasar crucifies her and Gabrielle destroys the Fates loom and brings the world back to the way it was.

FRIEND IN NEED I (series fianle)

Xena and Gabrielle go to Japa to correct a mistake Xena made years ago. Throuhg flashbacks we learn of her travels with Akimi who she captured for ransom. Akimi willing went with Xena and then killed her father. Then, for the sake of honor had Xena kill her. In her grief Xena caused a fire that killed 40 thousand people. These people were then trapped by Akimi's father, the eater or souls. He was so evil he was sentenced to walk the earth as a ghost.

FRIEND IN NEED II (series fianle)

To save the 40 thousand souls Xena must die and kill Lord Yadoshi. Then she learns that unless she stays dead the souls will be lost.
