The Ultimate Quest

First Scene: Gabrielle is on her ship at the end of her final adventure with Xena. She is looking over the side coming to terms with the loss of her best friend. Then a whistling sound and some faint music startles her. She turns around to see a black gate or doorway appear behind her. It grows to about 7 feet. Then she notices a human form appear from deep inside it. She gets her daggers ready for a possible fight. When the figure appears Gabrielle is overcome by a powerful feeling of wellbeing.

The stranger is wearing a gleaming silver full helmet, which covers his face. It seams to have sparkling lights all over it. The rest of him is covered in sparkling chain mail armour. Down the full of his front is a sparkling golden Ankh. A large backpack is on his back. He is not armed at all.

The stranger speaks. “Gabrielle I have come to you in peace and virtue.” Gabrielle responds “Who are you and how did you get here?”

The Stranger replies “I have been known on my world as the Avatar. You met an Avatar in India who is a hero here. I am an Avatar in my dimension of Britannia. I know you have been to Britannia but I speak of a much more beautiful world in another dimension. I have come to your world through a device called a Moongate. I have come to ask you and Xena for help in saving Britannia from being consumed by evil.” Gabrielle asks, “How do you know of me?” The Avatar explains “Since I died after my final quest on Britannia I ascended beyond mortality. I have spent many years in the void searching for a new hero to defend Britannia. I have watched you and Xena do amazing heroic acts in the name of good and love. My world needs you and Xena to save it from a large number of evil monsters that threaten to consume it.”

Gabrielle asks, “Can you tell me more about yourself?” Of cause, “A long time ago on my first visit to the united world of Britannia I went on a sacred quest to gain and prove my Avatarhood. When I completed my quest the evil half broke way and left Britannia. During the long years since it conquered many worlds. In some of my later journeys I was able to help most of them. But not that long ago it calling itself ‘The Guardian’ returned to Britannia. The only way I was able to defeat it was to reunite with it and leave Britannia. My reward was to become the Titan of either. This simply means I am able to cast magic almost at will. My days as a hero are over though, that is why I need you and Xena.”

Gabrielle says, “You would then be aware that Xena is dead. We can not help you.” The Avatar then explains “I have learned powerful magic in my journeys. I can resurrect Xena with no harm to those who died because of her. But to do this you must come to Britannia with Xena’s remains so I can perform the ritual to bring her back.” Gabrielle says, “Let me ask Xena first.”

“Of course” the Avatar responds. After one minute, Gabrielle is seen with her eyes closed standing dead still. She responds “Xena will agree after you first tell us of this Britannia of yours.” The Avatar responds “Certainly.” He then reaches into his backpack and produces a leather book. “Gabrielle read this. It will explain the history of Britannia as well as showing you how magic works there. At the back there is a beastry listing most of the animals and monsters that exist there.” Just as Gabrielle starts reading, a ghostly appearance stands next to Gabrielle. It is Xena. Together they read the book.

“While you read I will explain a few things. This Britannia we are going to is controlled by eight virtues. These virtues are Honesty, Compassion, Valor, Justice, Sacrifice, Honor, Spirituality and Humility. You will need to follow all these to complete your quest.” The Avatar explains.

After an hour, Gabrielle hands back the book to the Avatar asking, “So tell us more about this quest.” The Avatar explains “Britannia has always had monsters like what you have seen in the book but now their numbers have multiplied and now each city is under attack from hordes of monsters that the people can’t hold back. I can’t return to Britannia to help them like I have in the past and I need to seek new heroes to save Britannia. You and Xena are the best the Universe has. We need you and Xena to first save each town and then find a way to stop the monsters from flooding into Britannia. Do you accept this ultimate challenge?” Gabrielle responds “We accept. How do we get to this world?” The Avatar answers “Through this black gate. It will take you straight to Britannia. You will arrive in its capital, City Britain. Right in front of Lord British’s throne. You will meet some of my best friends there, Iolo and Shamino as well as the King. They will help you with your first task, which is resurrecting Xena. I will not be there in person but at certain times I will be able to help you on your quest. Now enter the black gate and prepare for a new life.

Before you are allowed in Britannia you must answer 7 virtue questions given to you by a powerful Gypsy. These questions will determine some of your starting abilities. There are no right or wrong answers. Answer what is right for you.” Gabrielle then enters the black gate with the Avatar behind her. The gate then shrinks behind them.

Scene two: Gabrielle is inside a Gypsy wagon already seated. The Gypsy speaks “You are the new hero from another world who will save Britannia one last time. I will now ask you 7 questions. Give each one serious consideration before answering. Let us begin the reading.” In front of the Gypsy is a table. In her hands she holds some cards with pictures on them. The Gypsy begins by laying 2 cards on the table. “Question one. You are entrusted to deliver an uncounted purse of gold. If you meet a poor beggar would you show Honesty or Compassion?” The Honesty card Gabrielle notices has what looks like a wizard or mage holding his hand up to a large open palm on a wall. The Compassion card shows a female bard giving a coin to a beggar. Behind them both is a heart. Gabrielle points to the Compassion card. The Honesty card magically disappears first then the Compassion card.

The Gypsy then places 2 more cards down and asks “You are but a peasant shepherd, but you have been discovered to be sole descendent to a noble family long thought extinct. Will you show Honor or Humility.” She sees the Honor card has what looks like an important knight holding a goblet of wine. The Humility card shows a shepherd with crook in hand looking after a lone lamb. Gabrielle is seen thinking for a moment then points to Honor. The cards disappears as before and 2 more are laid on the table.

The Gypsy continues “Question 3. During a pitched battle, you see a fellow Knight desert his post, endangering many as he is fleeing. If you saw him set upon by several enemies, would you show Justice or Sacrifice?” The Justice card has a King sitting on a throne. One hand open in a sign of honesty, while the other has a heart floating over it. The Sacrifice card shows two people in a desert scene. One looks badly ill. The other is tending to him. There is a big teardrop over them. Gabrielle instantly points to Sacrifice. Again the cards disappear and she puts two more down.

“Question 4. If a local bully pushed for a fight, would you show Valor or Spirituality?” The Valor card shows a large red demonic face looking angrily down at a fighter brandishing a sword back at the creature. The fighter has a shield in the other hand. The Spirituality card shows a monk meditating in front of an Ankh. Again without thinking Gabrielle points to the Spirituality card. Then the Valor card disappears followed by the Spirituality card.

Then 2 more cards appear and the Gypsy continues “Question 5. You have sworn to uphold a Lord who participates in the forbidden practice of torture, and each night you hear the cries of tortured prisoners. Will you show Compassion or Honor? Without a second thought Gabrielle points to the Compassion card again. Just like before the Honor card disappears first followed by the Compassion card.

Then 2 more cards appear and the Gypsy continues “Question 6. You have spent your life in charitable and righteous work. If your uncle, an innkeeper, lay ill and asked you to take over his tavern, would you show Sacrifice or Spirituality?” This time Gabrielle thinks for a moment then points to the Spirituality card and she watches closely as the Sacrifice card disappears and then the Spirituality card. Then she takes one big breath as the last 2 cards appear.

The Gypsy speaks “Question 7. You have been taught to preserve all life as sacred. If a man were fatally stung by a venomous serpent and begged for a merciful death, do you show Compassion or Spirituality?” Gabrielle sits motionless for a short moment then slowly points to the Compassion card. She watches in amazement as the Spirituality card disappears and the Compassion card then floats up in front of her. The Gypsy speaks one last time. “You have chosen a life as a Bard. As a result you will have increased dexterity. Go now through the Black Gate outside. When you arrive, you’ll be inside Castle British. There you will meet Iolo, Shamino, Geoffrey and Lord British. They will help you begin this Ultimate Quest.” Gabrielle gets up without saying a word and walks outside and enters the Black Gate.”

Scene three: This scene starts inside Lord British’s throne room. The throne room is huge with many large stained class windows high up on its walls. In the center back of the room is the throne. In front of the throne is a long narrow patterned rug that leads all the way to the front of the throne rooms and the large double wooden doors leading out. The rug had the symbols of the eight virtues all over it. There are four other much smaller wooden doors along the side of the room. Two on each side of the throne room.

A very old and frail King sits on the throne with two large Guards standing either side of him. Lord British is wearing a full length purple gown that has gold trim. His face is almost completely covered in a white beard and moustache. The two guards are in full plate armour. Each is holding on to a three metre long halberd.

In front of him stands Geoffrey the Captain of the guards. He is also in full plate armour. He has a broad sword sheathed down his right side. With him are Iolo and Shamino. Iolo also has a full white beard like Lord British. He is outfitted in full leather armour. He has a tribble crossbow attached to the right side of his belt. Like the Avatar he has a large brown backpack. Shamino dressed in a green and brown ranger’s outfit with a green hat. He has a large bow and a large quill of arrows on his back. Over that he also has a large brown backpack.

Then the same whistle and music are heard as before as a black gate appears in front of the group. From the gate appears a surprised and stunned Gabrielle. As she leaves the gate it shrinks and vanishes. Gabrielle is now wearing full-hardened brown leather armour. She has Xena’s Chakram attached to her belt that is around her waist. Her two famous weapons are still attached to her boots. She to has a brown backpack. On the other side of her belt is an empty scaffold.

Then Shamino walks up and greets Gabrielle. “Welcome to Britannia. My name is Shamino and this is Iolo who is a Bard like you and this here is Geoffrey the Captain of the Guards. On the throne here is our great King Lord British. The Avatar told us in our dreams that a new hero would arrive soon to save Britannia from this most deadly peril.” Then Gabrielle asks, “What has happened to my dress and skirt?” Shamino answers, “ When you arrive in our world you are magically outfitted in armour that is customary here. If you go back to your world you will go back to your normal outfit. Gabrielle nods her head understandingly.

Then Gabrielle states, “I will gladly help but can you help me bring my best friend back?” She shows the group the urn containing Xena’s ashes. Iolo tells Gabrielle “What you ask is difficult but it can be done. We will need to go to our most sacred shrine of Spirituality to perform the resurrection. To get there we will need a device called the Orb of the Moons. Unfortunately it has been stolen by a powerful Lich and taken to the bottom of Dungeon Despise. If you can help us firstly by ridding Britain of large numbers of Skeletons that are attacking, we can then go to Despise and get the Orb of the Moons and meet the Avatar at the shrine where your friend can be brought back to you. We will need her and your ability in combat if Britannia is to survive.” Gabrielle answers “Show me the way.”

Geoffrey then steps forward and holds out a very special sword. Gabrielle is amazed to see fire all along the blade. Geoffrey explains “This is a magical weapon called a fire sword. You will need its abilities if you are going to succeed out there.” Gabrielle takes the sword carefully and sheafs it. Then Iolo armed with his tribble crossbow, Shamino with his magic bow and Gabrielle with the new fire sword and Xena’s Chakram leave the castle to confront the skeletons.

Scene four: The trio is seen walking through the town to the town wall. Gabrielle puts, “This is an incredible city.” Pointing to all the shops that are on either side of the path. She wondered what they were made from. They looked incredibly strong and very large to her. She recognised some of the signs on the shops as they past them. A blacksmith, armourer, baker and even a tavern. The city was so big everywhere she looked there were more shops and houses.

Gabrielle continued, “There is nothing like it where I come from. Such beauty and size is amazing.” She also noticed in the sky that there were two moons. Iolo explained that they are called Trammel and Felucca. “They are very important to the moongates you have already traveled through.” He continued. Iolo explains, “This City of Britain is built with compassion over a thousand years. You will find each town very different here.”

A short walk later they make it to the town wall where a battle is already under way. The three climb the stairs to the top of the wall. The score of guards that Gabrielle can see are all in chain mail armour and each have a standard crossbow. In the centre of the wall right above the main doors is a single cannon (a weapon she did not comprehend). It was not being used since there was no more ammunition.

One of the guards speaks “Glad to see you three. This battle is not going well.” Gabrielle looks down from the wall in horror to see hundreds of skeletons armed with swords and bows attacking the large door blocking their entrance into the city. Just then an arrow from a skeleton flies by Gabrielle’s head.

Immediately the three spring into action, Iolo with his deadly crossbow, Shamino with the magic bow and Gabrielle with the Chakram. They on occasion have to duck an arrow headed in their direction. When Gabrielle can she puts Xena’s Chakram to work. The Chakram proves especially effective against the horde killing many with each throw. After a battle at the wall that lasts about one hour the large horde is defeated.

Gabrielle notices after the fight a large number of wounded and dead guards. She asks Iolo, “What are we going to do with these fallen guards?” Iolo answers, “Gabrielle Britain has healers who can help the wounded. The dead will be berried in our Cemeteries. They died with valor and honor.”

Shamino then tells Gabrielle we need to find the skeletons camp so we can stop any more attacks on the capital.” So the three climb down and head out of the city. Along the way they come up against more armies of skeletons. Gabrielle is effective with both the Chakram and the fire sword. Her abilities amaze both Iolo and Shamino. It does not take long for the small party to find the skeleton camp. It is occupied by a very large number of the undead. Gabrielle took the flank with Iolo and Shamino behind her. The fire sword was killing them in droves. Iolo and Shamino were equally effective with bow and crossbow. Half an hour later with little damage suffered the battle is won. Shamino says, “We need to find the portal they used to arrive on the mainland.” Gabrielle points to a pad at the other end of the campsite. “Is that it?” She asks. “Yes.” Replies Shamino. “Now watch some more Britannia magic. An Ort Por Ylem.” He then reaches into a pouch on his belt and pulls out one Mandrake Root, Nightshade, Black Pearl and Blood Moss. Then he throws them on the teleport pad. The pad glows brightly for a few seconds then disappears all together. Shamino then tells Gabrielle “You will be learning magic like that once we can get to the Island of Moonglow. I sense great magic ability in you. For now lets head to the Dungeon Despise and get the Orb of the Moons.”

Iolo interjects “Should we not stop off first at the shrine of Compassion so Gabrielle can meditate?” Shamino replies “You are right as usual Iolo.” Gabrielle asks, “What will happen at this shrine?”
“You will see” answers Iolo. “Come let’s get to the shrine. By the way, the mantra you need to chant at the shrine is Mu. Say the chant three times at the shrine.”

Scene five: The three are walking up a hill towards the shrine of Compassion. About one hour has passed. It is now the middle of the day. As they approach the shrine Gabrielle notices it is a stone alter surrounded by eight very large tall stones. Each of these stones is about twenty feet tall. When they get near the shrine Gabrielle is overcome by a feeling of love, compassion and piece. Shamino walks up to Gabrielle and from his backpack pulls a stone. “This is the Rune of Compassion. Place it on the altar before you meditate.” Gabrielle notices that the rune of Compassion is a small stone with a heart carved into it. She takes the rune and enters alone. She kneels before the shrine, places the Rune on the alter and intones “MU…MU…MU….” The mystic voice of the shrine speaks “Gabrielle from another world you have proven much since you have arrived in Britannia and now you will be rewarded with increased dexterity.” Gabrielle stands and is lifted in the air by a column of wind and then gently put back on the ground. The shrine continues “Gabrielle never forget the power of compassion in your quest and never shy from it when freely given to you. Go now. You have much left yet to accomplish.” The words bring back distant memories for Gabrielle. One was of her long lost friend Joxer. A lone tear leaves her face. Gabrielle picks up the rune and leaves the shrine feeling faster and more agile than ever before. “This Britannia is amazing!” she says. Shamino says, “You have a lot yet to see. Come lets get to Dungeon Despise.”

Scene Six: Another hour later the three companions walk up to the entrance of the dungeon. Iolo says, “I know this dungeon very well. The Avatar rescued me from here when I was under the control of the Guardian.” Gabrielle adds “I read about that in a book the Avatar showed me before I left my world. Britannia has certainly had a troubled history.” “Yes it has.” Iolo agrees. “But in dreams given to us from the Avatar he tells us of a golden future once we accomplish this quest.” Iolo explains.

The three then enter the Dungeon. Right inside they meet Vasagralem who was once the leader of the Gargoyles. Gabrielle jumps back stunned to see this eight-foot creature in front of her. He was bright red with little red horns on his head. Down his back were two large leathery wings. He was covered in huge muscles. He was wearing light leather armour and had a large sword sheathed down the centre of his back.

Shamino puts his arm on her shoulder and explains, “This is Vasagralem, he is a Gargoyle. He is a friend and is no threat.” He turns to Vasagralem and asks, “What brings you to this Dungeon?” Vasagralem answers, “To be here to help, to have visions of the Avatar, to be told to come here and help old friends.” Shamino replies “Thank you friend. We have to go in here and get the Orb of the Moons from a dangerous Lich.” Vasagralem shows a powerful Lightning sword and ads, “To believe this might come in handy.”

The party of four enters the Dungeon proper. The dungeons in this world were far different to any in Gabrielle’s home world. These were much darker. Shamino provided some light through a simple light spell. The smell was dank and the feeling of evil was all too evident. Through the light spell, Gabrielle could make out that this dungeon was made from brick. Along the many passages, they passed there were many non-moving skeletons and other rubbish. Not all the bones were human. They even found some basic weapons and armor that must have belonged to other hapless adventurers. The further they ventured the worse the sense of evil that surrounded them.

On the way down to the fourth level, they dispatch numerous Zombies, Giant Spiders, Spectres, Skeletons, Giant Rats and even slime. Gabrielle with her raised dexterity was becoming a very proficient fighter. Just before they entered the room containing the Lich Gabrielle asks, “What is this energy I feel entering my body?” Shamino answers “That is Karma. It is related to Mana. That is the energy we use to cast magic spells. When you do good deeds this energy will increase. If you do evil it will go down. You will learn more about that when we get to Moonglow. It is a city devoted to the magic arts. Come lets finish this Lich. This is going to be a difficult fight. The Lich can be a deadly opponent. They cast powerful magic spells.”

A Lich as Gabrielle learned from the book is an undead wizard. Who through the use of evil magic keeps himself in the corporal world. They look like a large specter or ghost except that they are surrounded in lightning and are much larger. They also have the ability to fight while invisible. However, small amounts of lightning can give away their location when they are invisible.

The four enter the lair of the Lich which was just a medium sized near empty room except for some evil looking paintings on the wall and some human bones on the floor against each of the walls. There was a treasure chest at the back of the room. Instantly the Lich appears in an explosion of flame that hits Gabrielle directly. She is critically wounded. Shamino pulls some Garlic, Ginseng and Mandrake Root on Gabrielle and yells “Vas Mani.” Gabrielle is instantly restored to full health. She gets up and the battle is on. The Lich then summons a couple of skeletons, which Vasagralem dispatches with his sword. Iolo hits the horrible thing with several bolts wounding it. As Gabrielle launches the Chakram at the creature it casts a death bolt at her. It strikes her killing her. The Chakram hits the lich killing it instantly. Iolo, Shamino and Vasagralem look despairingly at her. Iolo says, “Lets find the Orb of the Moons and get Gabrielle and her friend to the Shrine of Spirituality so the Avatar can bring them back to us.” Just then at the other end of the room a pedestal appears and on top of it is the Orb of the Moons. Iolo asks Vasagralem, “Can you pick up Gabrielle’s body so we can take it to the Shrine? I will take her belongings.” “To be happy to.” Vasagralem answers. Vasagralem picks up Gabrielle’s body and Shamino picks up her belongings. Iolo gets the Orb of the Moons and places it on the ground in the correct position to take them to the shrine of Spirituality. The chest was most likely to be trapped so the group decided to leave it. Then a Red Moongate opens and the three walk through it and it disappears behind them.

Scene Seven: The Shrine of Spirituality sits in the void, an area of black space lit dimly with distant stars. Near the shrine a Red Moongate grows. Then from within the party appears. First Vasagralem, then Shamino, and lastly Iolo. They walk up to the shrine itself and stand for a moment. Then on the other side of the shrine an image appears ghostly at first before becoming a whole man. It is the Avatar. Iolo and Shamino are brought to tears at the sight of the long lost friend. Then the Avatar speaks, “Iolo, Shamino save your tears. I have come to help you and Britannia. Firstly have Vasagralem place Gabrielle’s body on the shrine so I can resurrect her.” Vasagralem does what the Avatar asks and places Gabrielle’s body gently on the altar that is the shrine. Then the Avatar intones “In Mani Corp.” With that Gabrielle’s body is surrounded in sparkling lights. Then her eyes open again. Then she begins to move. After a few seconds she slowly gets up. She looks across at the Avatar and asks, “What happened?” The Avatar answers, “You were killed by the Lich you were fighting in Dungeon Despise. I have brought you back to life.”

“Thank you.” Gabrielle replies. “What about my friend Xena can you help her now?” Gabrielle asks. “Yes, just place her urn on the shrine. But since she died in another world it will take all my magic skill to accomplish this. ” The Avatar answers. Gabrielle carefully places the urn on the shrine. The Avatar raises his hands above the shrine then moves them in a series of fast moving gestures. Then the Avatar intones the magic words “In Vas Mini Corp.” The Urn disappears, lightning strikes are seen around the shrine. Then a ghostly image of Xena appears above the shrine. Then she falls to the ground, standing upright and motionless for a moment. Then the ghostly image becomes the full Xena. She wears the same brown hardened leather armour as Gabrielle. With her old sword still sheathed down her back.

Her eyes open. Gabrielle runs towards Xena tears flooding out of her eyes. She gives Xena a large hug and says, “Xena I missed you so much. I am so glad to have you back.” With that she gives Xena a kiss on the lips. Xena then responds, “Gabrielle I never left you. We will always be together.” Gabrielle replies, “I know.” still crying with happiness. Gabrielle then turns to the Avatar and gets down on her knees, tears still in her eyes. Sobbing she asks, “How can I ever repay you? Are you a God?” The Avatar replies, “You can repay me by helping my companions save Britannia one last time and no I am not a God. My official title is Avatar Titan of Either. As I told you.” Gabrielle turns back to Xena and asks, “Are you up for one more challenge?” Xena replies, “Yes of course.”

Iolo then steps up to the Avatar and ask, “What should we do next Avatar?” The Avatar answers, “Go together to Moonglow for Gabrielle needs to be taught the magic arts if you are going to succeed at this quest.” Then Vasagralem interrupts, “To need to go back to my people in Vesper. To need to help them in the headless attack there.” The Avatar replies, “Okay my friend.” With that a new Red Moongate opens. Vasagralem walks towards Xena before entering the gate and hands her his Lightning Sword. “To give this to you, to know you need it more than me.” Xena says, “Thank you, but won’t my sword do?” The Avatar answers, “No the monsters are too powerful for your sword. Only this one will be effective against them.” With that Xena takes the sword from the Gargoyle then asks the Avatar, “Can you look after my sword?” “Certainly” replies the Avatar.

Vasagralem then walks through the moongate and is gone. Then the moongate itself disappears. Then the Avatar speaks to the group, “Now head to Moonglow. Gabrielle can be taught the magic arts while the rest of you help in the Gazer attack there. I foresee great magic potential in Gabrielle and we will need all of it if we are going to succeed. I will always be here if you are ever in trouble.” Another Moongate opens near the shrine. Then the group turns to the gate and walk through it. The Avatar disappears as well to rest and regain his lost mana.

Scene Eight: A Red Moongate is seen opening up near the shrine of Honesty. From it spring the party of four. Xena is the first to speak, “The Avatar said that Gabrielle is to learn magic. On our world only the Gods and sorcerers can do that.” Shamino responds, “Here it is quite different. Some people have no magic ability while others have great magical potential. We have never understood why. Come lets get to the City quickly.” After a short walk they arrive at the City of Moonglow. Xena and Gabrielle are surprised at the sight of floating steps outside each house and the large floating house in the middle of town. They are also surprised to see a thin layer of fog or mist all through the town. Gabrielle asks, “What is the floating building in the centre of town?” Shamino answers, “That is the Lyceum. It houses the book of Truth and an Oracle. We may need their council later.” Just then a door opens to a home just to the left of the party and out walks Marah the head Mage. She is a tall woman with brown hair. She is wearing a long red mages robe that covers her from head to toe.

She approaches the group. Then she speaks. “The Avatar sent word you would be arriving soon. He also said I am to teach the outer worlder our magic arts.” “That is right. We are to fight the Gazers that are attacking Moonglow” Shamino replies. “Yes, the Gazers are at the southern end of Moonglow” answers Marah.

With that Xena, Shamino and Iolo walk south out of town while Gabrielle follows Marah into her house. When Xena, Shamino and Iolo get to the battle area they see a few Mages attacking the large number of Gazers. They are all in simular robes as Marah. Though the colours vary from blue, green purple and black. They are throwing fire and lightning spells at the floating balls of eyes.

One of the Mages speaks, “Are you the reinforcements Marah said were coming?” “Yes” replies Iolo. Then the three spring into action. Iolo is proven deadly with his crossbow, Shamino with his magic bow attacks a Gazer. Xena is very effective with her new Lightning Sword. Xena lets out her usual battle cry as she kills her first Gazer. Then from behind a tree another Gazer appears and hurls a lightning bolt at Xena and hits her in the leg. She crashes to the ground in incredible pain. Then the Gazer fires a paralyse bolt that also hits Xena. Iolo then kills the horrible thing with three bolts. Shamino drops his bow for a moment and steps over Xena. Then from his pouch he pulls out Ginseng, Garlic, Sulfurous Ash, and Mandrake Root and intones “Vas Mani”. Xena is instantly cured.

Then another Gazer appears above Shamino but is hit by a large ball of flame before it can strike. Xena, Shamino and Iolo turn around to see Gabrielle run toward them with a spell book in her hands. Gabrielle yells, “I see you need some help.” Shamino replies, “Gabrielle you were quick.” “Marah said I had natural ability” responded Gabrielle.

Xena just stared in amazement. She could not believe her best friend had become so powerful. Xena had noticed that Gabrielle was much faster than before, coupled with her ability to cast magic like the Gods back home. She realises that Gabrielle may become a better fighter than herself. But there was little time to think about it, as the Gazers were not finished with them yet. The four party members were very effective at killing Gazers. Iolo was still deadly accurate with his crossbow, Shamino with his Magic Bow was showing good skill. Xena with her well-known war cry was enjoying a new chance at combat now armed with a very powerful Lightning Sword. Gabrielle throwing Lightning Bolts and fireballs, The chants, “Vas Flam” and “Ort Grav” could be clearly heard coming from Gabrielle while reagents were being thrown in the air.

With the other mages from the city doing their bit the battle was won a short time later with little incident. Shamino said, “We need to find the Gazers teleport pad so no more arrive in Moonglow.” The four walked a little further south into the bushes. In the middle of the bushes they found their camp guarded by a lone Gazer. But Shamino recognised it as no ordinary Gazer but a very rare Gazer Lord. Its favourite spell was Death Bolt. So Shamino called for caution before attacking. Xena, wanting to show to Gabrielle that she was still the best warrior, leaped at the monster with the Lightning Sword giving her trademark yell. The Gazer saw Xena and swung around. He fired a Death Bolt at Xena hitting her. At the same time Xena struck and killed the Gazer Lord. But Xena fell to the ground dead. The other three ran up to her. Gabrielle asked, “We can bring her back again can’t we?” To which Shamino replied, “Yes, but we need to get her to the Shrine of Spirituality again. The Avatar is still the only one able to cast the resurrect spell to revive her. But first I will destroy this teleportation pad.” Shamino does succeed in that job.

Because of Xena’s size and weight both Gabrielle and Shamino are needed to carry her. Iolo activates the moongate to the shrine. Just before they enter Marah runs up to them. She asks, “Do you need my help on your Quest?” Shamino replies, “We certainly do.” “As you know I am a seventh circle mage so I can help with Xena’s body” Marah explains. She then throws some Black Pearl, Mandrake Root and Ginseng in the air and intone the words, “In Vas Por.” Then she points to Shamino. The rest watch as Shamino’s size and bulk increase dramatically. Shamino explains, “That is much better. Gabrielle I can carry Xena all by myself.” With that taken care of the party walk through the moongate to the Shrine of Spirituality. As they enter the moongate Gabrielle asks, “Why does the Avatar where a full helmet? What does he look like? To which Iolo responds, “I believe you will find out soon. Very few people have seen what the Avatar really looks like.” With that they enter the gate and it closes behind them.

Scene nine: The party step out of the moongate at the shrine. The Avatar is waiting for them. Shamino places Xena’s body on the shrine as he did with Gabrielle’s earlier. The Avatar again cast the same resurrect spell and Xena is brought back to life. This again brings a big smile to Gabrielle’s face. Gabrielle then adds, “I love this Britannia. Death is no longer the end as it is back home.” The Avatar replies to Gabrielle, “Only heroes can be brought back this way.”

Xena rejoins the party. Then Marah adds, “We should get Gabrielle to the Shrine of Honesty so she can advance. Shamino do you have the rune of Honesty?” “Yes, I have all the runes with me.” Shamino answers. With that Iolo opens a moongate to that Shrine and the party of five heads through it. The Avatar yells, “After that you will need to head to Dungeon Covetous so you can collect everything you need to make a Black Rock Demon Sword. You will also need to charm a Demon and bring it to me. Then I will make the sword for you.” Shamino replies, “It will be done.” Then the party enters the moongate and it closes behind them.

Scene ten: The party teleport right next to the Shrine. Marah tells Gabrielle, “Take the rune from Shamino.” Gabrielle notices that this rune is slightly different to the rune of Compassion as it has an open hand palm carved into it. After she collected the rune she enters the Shrine. The mantra this time is AHM!” Marah yells. Xena then asks, “Do I need to meditate at this Shrine?” Marah answers, “No, there are other shrines that will benefit your skills more.” Gabrielle then walks into the Shrine and kneels before it. She then chants, “AHM...AHM...AHM....” and places the rune on the Shrine. As before a column of wind raises her. The Shrine then speaks, “Your Honesty on this quest is proven to all, but never fear the truth and you shall continue to grow. You have earned and advancement in intelligence and Magic Skill. Go now in Honesty and Virtue.” With that she is placed gently back on the ground.

When she leaves the Shrine Marah ads, “Gabrielle you are now a mage of the sixth circle. We need to get you back to town so we can get those spells in your spellbook and get more reagents for you. We must be prepared for the rest of the quest. The rest of you prepare a camp here as it is nearly nightfall. Gabrielle and I will be back soon.” Iolo responds, “Very good, we will hit the Dungeon tomorrow.” Gabrielle and Marah then head to town. Two hours later they return with Gabrielle stocked up with magic. It is now dark. Iolo had been cooking an odd round pastry meal that Xena did not like the look of. Iolo told her that it is called Pizza. So Shamino was cooking some mutton that Xena knew she would like. Gabrielle though loved the pizza and had quite a helping of it. The rest of the party also enjoyed the pizza. While Xena ate the mutton, that Shamino cooked for her.

Gabrielle and Xena after their dinner take off their armour. Then they sit together sharing their first intermit moments for a long time. They just sit looking into each other’s eyes not saying a word. Marah, Shamino and Iolo noticed this and wondered how could two women be in love with each other like that but no one said anything. Knowing that Love is a core principal and Compassion a Virtue is most important in both worlds.

Shamino also noticed that even though Gabrielle was of small stature she was very powerfully built. He knew very few Britannian women like that. Her short blonde hair with that build made her very sexy. After another hour with nothing said the five lay down on their beadrolls under the stars and go to sleep.

They wake at first light. Xena is the first to ask. “What is this Demon Sword the Avatar spoke about Shamino?” Shamino answers, “I believe it is the most powerful magic weapon in Britannia. It is able to kill the most deadly of monsters. We will be going up against far more deadly monsters than you have ever seen before. We will need your sword skill to make use of the weapon once it is made.” The party then cleans up the campsite. Then Iolo uses the Orb of the Moons to call a moongate to Minoc, the nearest town to the dungeon Covetous. The gate rises from the ground and the party head through it. As always it shrinks behind them.

Scene eleven: The party exits the Moongate near the Shrine of Sacrifice. Shamino explains, “The town of Minoc is a short walk to the east. We will head there first and then we will go into the dungeon.” As they approach the small town Gabrielle notices it is much smaller than Britain and Moonglow. It is just a collection of gypsy wagons and small wooden houses. The party saw that the townsfolk are already involved in a fight against Trolls, Headless and Goblins. The trolls are around six to seven feet tall vaguely human in appearance and are a very ugly aqua colour. Some are armed with swords others with large clubs. The headless are about eight feet tall and all their whole bodies are covered in thick black fur. They have no head or neck. They are armed with slings. The Goblins are about 5 feet tall and are brown in colour. Besides that they look simular to the trolls. They attack with medium sized clubs.

Most of the townsfolk are still Gypsy folk. One woman runs from the group to meet the party. She has long red hair and a very pretty pale complection. She is wearing a long flowing red dress over some basic cloth armour. She runs up and she says, “Iolo it is good to see you.” Iolo replies, “Jaana I want you to meet our two newest hero’s, here is Xena and over there is Gabrielle.” He points each one out. Jaana responds, “We need all of you to save Minoc from this attack, we have already lost several townspeople to this horde.

With that the party spring into action. Xena kills two headless outright with her Chakram. Gabrielle takes on a troll with a mixture of fire and lightning spells. Jaana goes about her gift, which is healing those wounded in the fight. Three Goblins rush at Xena but she just lets out her battle cry and strikes them down with the lightning sword. From behind the three Goblins appears a much larger goblin that she had not noticed before. It stood about eight feet tall and armed with a magic sword that glows all the colours of the rainbow. Shamino yells from behind her, “Watch out. That is a Goblin King and that sword will destroy you quickly!” Then the Goblin King and Xena enter a sword duel. The battle goes on around them. Xena is struggling to defeat the creature. Iolo tries to help by firing three bolts into his chest. But this only makes the Goblin more enraged. Then the Goblin kicks Xena across the ground. The Goblin prepares the fatal blow against Xena but is hit by a purple bolt. Gabrielle hit it with a paralyse spell. The creature falls to the ground beside Xena motionless. Xena is amazed and asks, “What happened?” Gabrielle replied, “I cast the paralyse spell on it. Now you can finish it off.” Xena killed it with one blow with the Lightning Sword. Xena asks Gabrielle, “How many more times are you going to save my life?” To which Gabrielle just smiles. Then they both continue the fight. With the Goblin King defeated the rest of the fight proves less eventful. An hour later the battle is won. Jaana continues healing the wounded.

The party approaches her and Iolo asks, “Once you have finished here can you help us in Covetous?” She replies, “Certinatly. I would be done much quicker with some help.” With that Marah and Gabrielle go about healing more of the wounded. Shamino, Xena and Iolo go looking for the teleport pad and the rest of the creatures. They return an hour later, the mission completed. The town was now safe from attack. Iolo walks up to Jaana who had finished healing, “What sort of creatures can we expect to find in Covetous?” Jaana replies, “Skeletons, Zombies, Ghosts and maybe a Lich or two.” With that the party, now six strong, heads up the mountain towards the Dungeon.

A short walk later they arrive at the entrance to the pit. Weapons and spells ready they go inside. This dungeon was very different to Despise. This was a huge mine carved from inside the mountain. Some areas were narrow while others were large open caverns. Normally because of the large amount of blackrock in this mine, magic would not be possible. However over the years, most of it had been mined so some magic could be cast here now. Again, Shamino cast the light spell to illuminate the party’s way.

Inside the first big room they find and defeat six skeletons and a zombie. In a cart in the middle of the room, they find four pieces of the black rock. Shamino explains, “This should be enough for the sword.” Shamino places the four pieces in his backpack. Jaana then explains, “We can find a suitable gem on the second level.” They then head towards the lift, which the Avatar used on his quest against the Guardian years before. They take the lift down to level two. They are greeted on that level by a large number of skeletons and zombies. The zombie’s main form of attack was throwing bits of their body at the party. Jaana did warn the group not to let the bits hit them, as they are full of fatal diseases that are hard to cure, even with magic. So the group was extra vigilant at killing them quickly.

The party was becoming more efficient at killing these monsters as they progressed through the dungeon. Xena’s Chakram was very effective at killing skeletons and Gabrielle’s fireballs were a more than a match for the zombies. Despite being outnumbered each battle was won in short time. Shamino was really amazed by Xena’s round weapon. “What is that? I gather it is magical?” Xena replies, “Yes it is. It is called a Chakram and it is a weapon unique to me.”

In the next big cavern they come up to a Unicorn. It is standing next to a large white square fountain, filled with beautiful clean water. In the centre of the fountain a thin column of water continually rose to about four feet. The Unicorn was a brilliant white horse with one large Golden Horn on the tip of his nose. Gabrielle yells in excitement, “It’s a Unicorn Xena, I have only heard about them in legend. Here is a real life one.” Shamino responds, “Yes you are right Gabrielle. You and Xena can pat it if you like.” Gabrielle responds, “Common Xena.” The two walk up and pat the Unicorn. The Unicorn then speaks, “Thank you Xena, Thank you Gabrielle that is nice.” Gabrielle and Xena were stunned to hear the creature speak. “This world continues to surprise me every day!” Gabrielle exclaims. Iolo then asks Gabrielle and Xena, “Do you know of the story behind the Unicorns in Britannia?” Gabrielle responds, “No we don’t” The rest of the party starts grinning trying hard to keep a straight face. Xena senses something is up and asks, “What is going on?” Iolo responds, “It is a long story but the short version is that over 1000 years ago an angry mage put a curse on all Unicorns. From that moment on Unicorns have become Virgin detectors. They only allow virgins to approach them.” With that the rest of the party bursts out laughing. As Xena and Gabrielle suddenly realized that, a few physical changes have occurred to them upon entering this world. They are so stunned that they are practically speechless. Gabrielle gasps, “wha… wha.. why…how?

Iolo stops laughing long enough to answer, “When anyone from another world enters this world they loose most of their previous life experiences including sex. You would have also noticed your fighting skill a little less than it was before. Gabrielle trying to see the funny side tells Xena, “Now we could join the Hestian virgins with Priestess Leah.” With that Xena and Gabrielle burst out laughing. After a couple of minutes Iolo regains his composure long enough to add, “We need to get moving.” With that everyone farewells the Unicorn and continues into the next section of the dungeon still giggling and laughing.

The party then heads toward the gem mine. Just before they get there they are confronted by a large lich. Xena springs in to action hitting it several times with the Lightning Sword before killing it. They then see one large gem in the centre of the mine, which was no more than a very large pit in the room. Shamino claims, that Gem would be suitable for the sword. He goes down into the pit, picks it up, and puts it in his backpack. Once he is out of the pit, he pulls from his backpack the Magic Sword that came from the Goblin King and gives it to Jaana. She places it in a scaffold that was hidden under her long dress. He tells her, “You may need this for the rest of the quest.” She thanks Shamino for the sword. “I believe the Demon you want is on the forth level of the mine. We can take the lift straight down to level 4.” Jaana explains. They head back to the lift and go down to level 4. It is full of water and is vacant of monsters. Jaana says, “We need to swim across to the other side to get to the demon.”

How are you going to capture it?” Xena asks. Marah answers, “Gabrielle and I need to cast Charm at the same time, that should be enough to capture it.” The party then dives in to the water and swims to the large open canyon on the other side. They see on the far end is a small stone room that Jaana tells them, “I do believe that is were our demon is. Iolo says, “Our best chance is if Marah and Gabrielle approach alone quietly and surprise it and cast Charm before the creature can respond.” Gabrielle and Marah then sneak up to the room. Gabrielle quietly reaches for the door and opens it. Then they both throw Black Pearl, Nightshade, Spider's Silk in the air and yell, “AN XEN EX” at the Demon. Before it knows what has happened it is charmed. The rest of the party rush up and congratulate the two on a job well done.

Iolo says, “Before we go to the shrine of Spirituality we need to visit the Shrine of Sacrifice for both Xena and Gabrielle.” Then he pulls the Orb of the Moon from his backpack and summons a gate to the Shrine of Sacrifice. The party then enters the gate and it closes behind them.

Scene twelve: The gate drops the party near the shrine. Shamino hands Xena the rune of Sacrifice and tells Xena, “Use this and chant the Mantra CAH three times.” Xena takes the rune and notices this stone has a teardrop carved into it. Xena then enters the Shrine alone. She places the rune on the Shrine and kneels before it. She then speaks the chant, “CAH...CAH...CAH....” A column of wind picks Xena up and the Shrine speaks, “You have sacrificed much coming to this world. Also remember those who have sacrificed much to help you. You will be reworded with increased dexterity and strength.” Xena has memories of Gabrielle throwing herself into that bit with her evil daughter Hope. She then has a memory of Joxer sacrificing his life to Xena’s own daughter Eve to save Gabrielle. A small tear excapes Xena’s right eye. Then the Shrine puts Xena down. Xena then wipes her face and smiles. She walks out feeling more powerful then ever. She hands Gabrielle the rune and says, “Wow that is amazing I wish we had those on our world.” Gabrielle enters the Shrine and has the same experience as Xena. This included the similar memories as Xena. She wondered why she was missing that fool Joxer so much. Why was this world bringing back almost forgotten memories of him? Yes he was a good friend but he had been out of her life for years. She composed herself and then leaves the Shrine.

Marah says, “I need to take Gabrielle back to the Shrine of Honesty and to Moonglow so we can prepare ourselves for the next part of the quest. We will take the Demon with us so we can keep it under control. The rest of you make camp. We will be back by night fall.” Shamino hands Marah the Orb of the Moons. Marah then calls a Moongate to the Shrine of Honesty. The two walk through and the gate and it closes.

The rest of the party make camp. Xena entertains Jaana, Iolo, and Shamino with tales from her world and the many battles she has been in and also explains why she and Gabrielle are such good friends and why they love each other.

At the same time Gabrielle was arriving at the Shrine of Honesty. She entered as she had done before and meditated on the mantra. “AHM…AHM…AHM…” The Shrine as before picked her up and spoke, “Your continued honesty toward all shall again be rewarded with increased intelligence and Magic Skill. Gabrielle don’t fear the honesty of your memories. The truth of them will be revealed before the end of your quest.” The Shrine then puts her back on the ground. Gabrielle could sense it was talking about Joxer but what did it mean she wondered? Gabrielle then leaves the shrine. Marah then adds, “Congratulations on making it to the Seventh Circle. We need to go back into town so you can get new spells and reagents for the next stage of the quest.

Just as the sun sets a Red Moongate opens and Marah, Gabrielle and the Demon walk through. Marah tells the group excitingly that Gabrielle was now a Mage of the Seventh Circle. Few Bards ever obtain this level. After a bit more tales about Xena’s world and Britannia they hit the beadrolls and fall asleep. Again the party arouse at first light. The Demon is still charmed. Without any fuss they enter a Moongate to the Shrine of Spirituality.

Scene 13: The party arrives at the shrine with the Avatar waiting for them. Shamino walks up and places the black rock chunks and the gem on the shrine. Gabrielle and Marah hand the Demon over to the Avatar. The Avatar yells, “STAND BACK! While I create the sword.” He then performs a range of complicated hand gestures and intones, “In Vas Ylem Kal Ort Corp Xen Rel.” Lightning from above the shrine strikes the black rock, instantly turning it into a sword. More Lightning hits the gem and it rises and falls into the hilt of the sword. A column of wind surrounds the Demon shrinking him till he is half the size of the gem. He is sucked into the gem. With that the sword glows for a few seconds then dims.

Then the Avatar addresses the group, “You will need this weapon on Skara Brae. Before you head there though you need to go to Trinsic where my old friend Dupre needs your help against a large number of Dragons which are attacking the city. Once you get to Skara Brae you will need the Demon Sword to kill a Balron King that will be attacking there soon. I feel only Xena has the skill to defeat this horror. I warn you, it will be immune to all spells from your spell book. Only this sword can defeat it. Once you have defeated it, come back here and I can help you with the rest of your quest. I must go and rest now and regain my manna.” Shamino creates another Moongate this time to take them to Trinsic the city devoted to Honor. The party walks through the gate and it closes behind them.

Scene 14: The Moongate opens in the centre of the city next to the Bastion. The Bastion is a huge multi story building. There were many other buildings in the city most connected by bridges over water. Most of the buildings and bridges were made of marble Gabrielle was informed. She thought this city looks more beautiful than Britain.

Dupre is waiting for them. He is a magnificent tall strong looking knight thought Gabrielle. He is dressed in plate armour that has red trim. He holds a large crossbow in his hands. Dupre greeted them, “The Avatar told me you would be arriving now. We need to get to the battle straight away as the Paladins and I are not doing well.” The group follows Dupre to the front of the city where several of the Dragons are attacking. Xena starts with her yell and then throws her Chakram and kills a Dragon straight away. Then in the distance over the water Dupre notices something. Then he yells “LOOK! Many, many more Dragons were on the way. We must retreat.” The rest of the city looked up and to their horror saw scores of red Dragons quickly approaching. Even though there were still some Dragons in the city everyone runs for the relative safety of the Bastion. Those dragons still in the city threw fireballs around the crowd. A couple of the Paladins were hit and killed by the dragons. No sooner did the rest get into the Bastion and shut the doors then the sounds of fire hitting the City could be heard. All around them fire balls striking building after building can be heard. Even Xena feared facing such an impossible force.

Gabrielle sat reading her spellbook hoping to find an answer there. She got to the Sixth circle and read about the Magic Storm spell. Something stirred inside her. Without warning she jumped up, ran up and opened the large bastion doors. Then she threw Mandrake Root, Nightshade, Sulfurous Ash and Blood Moss into the air and screamed, “VAS ORT HUR!!!!” Then she shut the doors before a fireball came crashing down and hit it. Outside the sky began to darken very quickly as a MASSIVE storm approached. In seconds massive thunderclaps could be heard. Then the lightning started. There was strike after strike. The sound was almost deafening. Then the monstrous sound of very large objects crashing added to horrific noise, as Dragon after Dragon fell from the sky as they were hit by the lightning. The sounds of buildings crashing could also be clearly heard. Fortunately the Bastion was an incredibly strong magical structure and the falling Dragons did not harm this building. After half and hour of this horror there was sudden silence.

Dupre was the first to stand and walk over to the large doors. He opened it a crack and looked out. He announced, “It’s all over everybody, the storm has gone and the Dragons are defeated.” He then opened the doors wide and everyone could see the destruction around the city. Except for the Bastion not another building stood. There were many dead Dragons littering the city. Most of them though had crashed into the sea. The cost of victory in Trinsic was very high but it was theirs. Then the crowd remembered how victory was achieved and turned as one to Gabrielle. The townspeople did not know whether to love her or fear her. Never in the history of Britannia had anyone cast the Magic Storm spell so powerfully. Xena just had respect and admiration for her best friend. She long knew that Gabrielle had no evil in her and that she only did what she did out of love. Which has always been Gabrielle’s biggest principle.

Xena then spoke. “Gabrielle is my best friend and there is not an evil bone in her. What she just did, she did out of love, honor and valor.” With that a large cheer sprang from the crowd followed by, “GABRIELLE, GABRIELLE...!” This was repeated over and over. The crowd knew a new hero had arisen in Britannia. After a few minutes Dupre spoke, “People of Trinsic thanks to Gabrielle we have been given a new chance to rebuild this city. We will make it better than ever.” With that the crowd let out another large roar. Shamino walked up to Dupre and said, “Friend we need to go out on the water and find the teleportation device the Dragons used to get here.” Dupre replied, “We will use the small boat on the pier.” Pointing to the small sailing boat. It was the only one left as the falling Dragons destroyed the rest.

Shamino then walked up to the rest of the party and explained, “Dupre and I will go out and look for the Dragon’s teleport device while the rest of you help out around the city.” Then Dupre and Shamino set sail for the device, while the rest of the party help clean up. Most of the Dragons had to be cut up and thrown into the sea. Some were kept for food. A couple of hours later Dupre and Shamino returned with the mission accomplished. With the whole party together again it was decided that they should head to the Shrine of Honor and then the Shrine of Valor so Gabrielle and Xena could be advanced. In little time they made it to the Shrine of Honor. Gabrielle noticed this rune had a goblet engraved on to it. Gabrielle meditated at the Shrine as she had done before. But when Gabrielle meditated she was given a vision from the Avatar. It showed the sun rising and a giant Black Gate opening off the coast of Skara Brae. From it came an 80-foot tall Demon creature from within it. Gabrielle told the party of her vision, which the party knew meant that the Balron King would attack at first light tomorrow. It was already late in the afternoon. They had a lot to do before they would be ready for the Demon.

The party quickly entered a Moongate to go to the Shrine of Valor. There again Gabrielle and Xena meditated. The rune of Valor has a sword engraved on to it. After that Marah said, “I need to take Gabrielle back to Moonglow as she is now ready for spells of the eighth Circle.” They then popped through another Moongate and were gone. The rest set up camp near the Shrine of Valor.

Once Gabrielle arrived near the Shrine of Honesty she again entered with the rune. Again the shrine spoke to her saying, “Gabrielle you have shown yourself to be of incredible character and you will again be rewarded with the highest level of intelligence and Magic Skill. Only our Avatar has obtained these levels in our recent history. I know you will use these skills wisely. Your potential is without pier in the universe even greater than that of the Avatar himself.” With that Gabrielle leaves the shrine humble in what she has learned. Marah then ads, “Let’s get to town so you can complete your spellbook and get a final load of reagents.

Two hours later Gabrielle and Marah returned. Marah then told the party that Gabrielle was now a mage of the eighth Circle. The party cheered. Xena could not believe how far her best friend had become. She remembered many years ago how she met Gabrielle as a humble farmer with big dreams. Now she has more powers than the Gods. Xena wondered what the future held for Gabrielle. The rest of the party went to sleep as Gabrielle and Xena just lay down beside each other staring into each other’s eyes. The love between them was as strong as ever. After an hour they too went to sleep. Dupre woke the party very early in the morning. “We need to hurry if we are to get to Skara Brae in time. The nearest Moongate is Trinsic. From there we must walk to the Ferryman who can take as to the isle. With that the party entered the Moongate and was gone.

Scene 15: The party is next seen walking up to the ferryman who can take them to the isle of Skara Brae. This ferryman Gabrielle noticed is a tall skeleton in a black hood. Shamino told her that it was no threat and she knew there was nothing to fear. Shamino pays the ferryman 2 gold so they can cross to the isle. The party each takes a seat on the ferry. Then the ferry crosses the channel to the isle.

They arrive about 15 minutes before sunrise. The rangers of the city are already fighting Demons inside the city. The Demons were about five to six feet tall. They were bright red in colour with large horns on their heads. They also had long pointed tails. The towns’ buildings were a mixture of stone and wood. They were tightly packed together, with small paths between them.

The whole party springs from the ferry and joins the fight. Gabrielle starts by throwing some Mandrake Root, Nightshade, Sulfurous Ash and Blood Moss and yells, “VAS CORP HUR!” She then points to two Demons heading for Xena. Instantly a large black vortex cloud spun around the two Demons. Lightning from the cloud hit the demons killing them it then floated over to another Demon killing it. Then another Demon was killed by the cloud. Then the cloud vanished. That one spell turned the first battle to the side of good. Xena killed a couple with her Chakram. The rest of the party and the rangers finish off the demons just as the first sun light appeared. Then the same black gate that Gabrielle saw in her vision opened off the West Coast of the isle. Dupre yelled, “Xena get ready, the Balron King is here!” Xena then drew out the Demon Sword and ran to the coast of the isle. The Balron King was very demonic in appearance though he had no tail. He was also surrounded in flame. The 80-foot creature strode through the water. It unleashed a 50-foot giant black sword and prepared to swing it at Xena. Xena inspired by Gabrielle sprung from the ground, jumping high in the air toward the monster. She let out a large yell then struck the monster. The Balron King did not expect a human to jump so high and was caught of guard. Xena jumped off the monster, back on the beach. The monster fell back into the water dead. It was so large it was not completely covered by water. The ranges of Skara Brae yelled, “Xena, Xena…” They were relieved that their city was safe again.

Shamino quickly found the teleport device the demons used to enter the city and he dispelled it. Then one of the rangers ran to Iolo and told him that some Ettins, Ghosts and Stone Harpies were attacking his home town of yew. So Iolo told the rest of the party we need to go their first before going to the shrine of Spirituality. The whole party agreed. A minute later the moongate was activated to take them straight to Yew. Then they were gone.

Scene 16: They exit north of the town between the Shrine of Justice and the town itself. Before they enter the town Shamino tells Xena that she has to kill the Stone Harpies because her Demon Sword was the only weapon that could do the Job. The rest of the party agreed to go after the Ghosts and Ettins. The Ghosts were vaguely human but were completely transparent. Ettins were huge nine to ten foot brown creatures. Their most distinctive feature was the fact they had two heads. Some of the Ettins attacked with slings while others thew whatever they could find at their enemies. The Stone Harpies were simular to the harpies Xena had seen in her world except these were made of stone. They attacked with their very large and sharp claws and very sharp long pointed tail. The Ghosts main form of attack was powerful lightning spells. They also had the ability to weaken anyone they touched.

The town was mostly destroyed and deserted. The people leaving when the monsters attacked headed south toward the safety of Britain. Xena and Gabrielle noticed the homes in this town were either built under or up the trees in this thick forest. They both marvelled at the cleverness of the builders here.

There was little time to think about this, as there was a large battle to be fought. Xena went after the Stone Harpies. While the rest of the party went after the Ettins and Ghosts. Xena found these creatures a real challenge as they often flew out of her reach. She resorted to using her abilities to jump to land blows against them. Each time Xena did land a successful blow however she did kill one. Her raised dexterity did make her a nearly impossible target to hit. It took Xena the best part of an hour to kill off the horde.

The rest of the party took slightly less time to finish the Ghosts and Ettins. Mainly thanks to Gabrielle’s powerful magic. Several Death Vortex spells made light work of most of them. The rest of the party therefore had a simple job finishing off the rest of the monsters. Iolo then told the party he wanted to check out his home before they left. So they all headed south to his home which was on the southern tip of Yew. When they got there the group found it had been mostly destroyed like all the rest. But on the damaged door a note was nailed to it. It was from Iolo’s wife Gwenno. It reads:

To my darling Husband Iolo know that I am safe. Yew has come under a terrible attack. The town has no way of defeating all these monsters. I have therefore decided to take the survivors down to Britain and Paws. I know the hero will come that you told me of and defeat these hordes. When this is done the people of Yew will be eager to rebuild this beautiful town. Looking forward to seeing you again very soon.
Gwenno.

Iolo shed a tear after reading the note but then smiled knowing he will see his beautiful wife soon. The party knew they had to go to the Shrine of Spirituality to find out what they had to do next. They enter the Moongate to again meet up with the Avatar.

Scene 17: The party exited the Moongate and was immediately met by the Avatar. They all walked up to him. The Avatar explained, “I foresee that you will need Rudyom’s Transmutation Wand. You will find it with the Mage Lord in Moonshade.” Shamino asked, “How are we to get back to Serpent Isle?” The Avatar answered, “I will call forth the Giant Serpent Pillars that will teleport you there. Use Lord British’s ship the Golden Ankh to sail there. It is at the docks in Britain. After you collect the wand head straight back through the pillars to Britannia and then head to the Codex of Ultimate Wisdom on the Isle of Avatar and seek it’s knowledge. Only Gabrielle should enter the Shrine of the Codex.” With that the party create another Moongate and head to Britain.

Scene 18: The party exits the Moongate at Lord British’s castle and is immediately met by Geoffrey the Captain of the Guards and Iolo’s wife Gwenno. Xena straight away notices how ruggedly handsome he is. Xena asks Shamino, “Are you going to introduce me?” Shamino says, “I am sorry, Xena this is Geoffrey the Captain of the Guard. Geoffrey this is Xena a Warrior Princess from Old Earth.” Geoffrey notices how sexy and strong Xena is. Few women from his world are ever so well built. Iolo greets his wife with a kiss and asks how she is. She answers, “Iolo I am fine and the survivors are resting in the shelter in Paws.” “I am glad to hear that.” Replied Iolo. Gwenno continues, “I am in Britain arranging some food and other essentials for them.” Iolo then tells her that the group has defeated all the monsters in Yew, thanks to Xena and Gabrielle. So when the people of Yew are ready they can head home. Gwenno then thanks her Husband as well as Xena and Gabrielle. She then says her goodbyes as she leaves to continue her duties.

Shamino asks the guard, “We need to borrow the Golden Ankh to sail to Serpent Isle.” Geoffrey replies, “I give you permission to use the ship. I will also notify Lord British. He is very ill and can’t be seen. But I can tell you he is very pleased of your success so far and he wishes you well for the rest of your quest.” Iolo says, “Thank you Geoffrey we will now be off.”

With that the party leave the castle and heads towards the Britain docks. They arrive ten minutes later. The party boards the ship. The ship is a very large sailing vessel. It is about 30 meters long and has two sails, one much larger than the other. The main sail has a large golden Ankh on it. The whole ship was covered in magical lights. Xena and Gabrielle were told this was Lord British’s own protection spell. It gave the ship and its occupants a large amount of protection from attack.

Shamino opens the sails and they head to the spot where the pillars should be. Halfway there they come up against a giant sea serpent. It rose to about twenty feet and was completely green in colour. It was shaped very simular to a large snake. It had fins that ran down its whole body, the part that showed at least. Most of the creature remained underwater, out of sight. Gabrielle throws Black Pearl, Nightshade and Sulfurous Ash in the air yelling, “Corp Por!” A purple bolt left her hands killing the monster outright. It sinks beneath the waves. The party continues to the pillars. Two hours later they arrive at the correct spot. Then 100 meters ahead of the ship two giant pillars rise from the ocean. By the time they reach their full height they are about 80 meters tall. The pillars were enormous columns with a large snake rapped around them. The pillar on the left has the snake going up the pillar in the opposite direction to the pillar on the right. Both are a brilliant white colour. Then two streams of light come from the pillars hitting the boat and the boat with the party are instantly sent to Serpent Isle.

Scene 20: The ship arrives in Serpent Isle off the west coast of Monitor. They sail south around the southern end of Monitor towards the isle of Moonshade. A few hours later they pull up on the southeastern tip of Moonshade Isle. They are met immediately by Mage Lord Torrissio. He is a tall middle aged man dressed in a long green robe. He has a thickset brown moustache. He immediately tells the party, “The Avatar told me you were coming and that you needed this wand”. He handed the wand to Shamino. The wand was short no more than ten inches long and a dark purple colour. Shamino then thanked Torrissio. Iolo asks, “How go things on Serpent Isle since balance has been restored?” Torrissio answered, “Very well. The three main cities are being rebuilt. With the small population the rebuild goes slowly. Otherwise everything is peaceful. We have little monster problems. The future has never been brighter for this land. The Avatar in visions has told me of this new attack on your homeland. I wish you well.” Iolo replied, “We thank you Torrissio.”

With that the party sets sail again for the pillars and the way back to Britannia. It is nearly dark when they reach the pillars. Again the light from the pillars hits the ship and they are sent back home. It is dark but they continue to the Isle of the Avatar. When they arrive at the isle it is very late. They make camp on the shore of the Isle. They cook a meal of some mutton and Pizza. They then all fall asleep very quickly.

In the morning Shamino wakes Gabrielle and tells her, “It is time for you to read the Codex, which is our book of ultimate knowledge. Just walk between the two massive Gargoyle Statues. Follow the path to the codex itself and note everything it tells you.” Gabrielle then walks up to the Codex. Half an hour later Gabrielle returns crying. She hands a scroll to Shamino. He reads it and hands it to the rest of the party. They are shocked of what is required. Shamino, Dupre and Iolo need to be sacrificed to Rudyom’s Transmutation Wand at the Shrine of Sacrifice. The three long time party members refuse to let the news upset them. They know if the party succeeds at this quest Britannia will enter another golden era of peace.

The party boards the ship with Gabrielle still crying. Xena is trying to comfort her. The whole party has become very close throughout the quest. Gabrielle is finding it hard to believe such a thing is needed to save this world. She also remembers when she had to sacrifice herself to save Xena when her own daughter Hope threatened the world. Also memories of when Joxer was killed by Xena’s daughter. Tears flowed from her at these memories and that she stills missed that fool Joxer so much. He was a fool to be sure but he could always put a smile on your face even in the saddest of times. She needs that now.

Dupre then walks up to Gabrielle and explains to her, “Gabrielle I had to sacrifice myself once on Serpent Isle to save that land.” I had to throw myself into a furnace. I was only able to come back after the Avatar defeated the evil being known as the Guardian. What we have been asked to do is very Honourable. The three of us will do anything to see Britannia live in peace again.” Gabrielle takes solace at Dupre’s words. She also told Dupre of the time she to had given her life to save Xena. She also told him of the time Joxer sacrificed himself to save her. The rest of the trip is very quiet. They pull up at the Vesper Docs. Vesper is a sandy coastal town. Some of the town’s shops and homes was even build on the water. Others were built on the sandy shore. It seamed to be a medium sized town slightly smaller than Trinsic. The headless attack could not have been too bad thought Shamino, as the town seemed to be intact. The people both human and gargoyle were going about their duties. The ship is tied and the party walks through town towards the Shrine where the ritual must be performed.

When they arrive nothing is said. Gabrielle walks up to the Shrine and places the wand and the Rune of Sacrifice on the Alter. She then places one hand on the Shrine. Iolo, Shamino and Dupre also stand around the Shrine, each touching it with their right hand. Gabrielle then intones, “Vas Ort An Mani CAH Corp.” With that a 4-prong lightning strike hits the wand, Shamino, Iolo and Dupre. Then the three companions disappear. The purple wand now glows in all the colours of the rainbow. Gabrielle tells the rest of the party, “The wand should be powerful enough to destroy the black rock barrier on Terfin and the giant black gate there. The Codex told me we should head back to Britain first.” Mariah walks up to Gabrielle you need to meditate here. Gabrielle re-enters the shrine and meditates. Xena then meditates after her. They both gain skills in dexterity and strength. Then Gabrielle, Xena, Mariah and Jaana head back through Vesper and back to the ship. They then sail for Britain.

Scene 21: They arrive in Britain in the late afternoon. At the Docks the Gargoyle Vasagralem greets them. He says, “To tell you, the Avatar sent me another vision telling me to help you on your last part of your quest. To tell you, how sad to hear all that has happened to your group. To know you are sorry over the loss of the 3 companions. To be glad to help you complete your quest.” Jaana replied, “We welcome your help.” Gabrielle then said, “We should head out at first light.”

Vasagralem then suggested, “To tell you are all welcome to stay in the Castle for the night.” The party now 5 strong then heads to the castle. Geoffrey then shows them to the guestrooms where they bunk for the night. The rooms are on the second floor of the castle. The king and some of the staff sleep on the first floor. The guestrooms are modest each with a queen-sized bed and a set of toilet and bathroom supplies. Each room also has a large round mirror in the corner. Modest by this worlds standards but absolute luxury for Xena and Gabrielle. Little is said as the weight of what is a head of them dwells heavily on the group. The next morning the party heads back to the ship. Geoffrey sees them off, giving Xena a big kiss before she boards the ship. There are definitely some very strong feelings between the two warriors. They then head southeast to Terifin.

Scene 22: About lunchtime the ship nears the small island. Ahead of the ship in the distance they see several odd dragons. They looked just like dragons except they had no skin, just a skeleton. Mariah whispers to the rest, “Skeleton Dragons, they cast very powerful magic.” Just then many Giant Sea Serpents rise from the water. Gabrielle then cast Magic Storm as she did in Trinsic. Again a massive magical storm begins very quickly. While some of the Dragons and Sea Serpents are hit and killed others get shots of fire, poison and ice off at the ship. The ship protected by Lord British’s powerful enchantment does not break up easily. It also protects the party. Xena kills a few Sea Serpents with her Chakram. Mariah and the Gargoyle also cast a variety of spells at the bony dragons. More dragons and serpents arrive on the battle scene. More evil magic hits the ship. The ship is starting to take damage as Lord British’s protection wears off. With more and more monsters arriving on the scene Gabrielle knows she has no choice to do what she is about to do. Even her massive Magic Storm can’t kill all these monsters. She opens her spellbook to the last page, throws Garlic, Ginseng, Mandrake Root, Nightshade and Blood Moss in the air as a massive fireball hits the deck of the ship. The ship is now in a critical condition. It is about to be torn into two. Gabrielle falling over yells, “VAS CORP!” All of the dragons and sea serpents fall back into the water dead. But the party members all suffer crippling injuries resulting from the Mass Death spell. The ship continues to burn and break up. Gabrielle, near death, reaches into her backpack and pulls out the multi-coloured wand and points it at the barely visible dome on Terifin. It fires once hitting the dome. The dome explodes in a massive ball of fire. The wand then fires again this time at the massive 100 meter tall black gate that was under the dome. It also explodes in a massive ball of fire. Jaana who is just holding onto a large piece of wood off the broken ship in the water casts Restoration on the party. The whole party is then restored to full health. The Gargoyle then flies out of the water and picks them up one at a time and takes them a long distance to the island of Terfin. It still has many fires burning in its centre where the structure was. By the time the whole party is safely on the island it is near dark. Jana tells the weary group, “We should head back to the Castle and report the good news.” With that Jaana called forth a moongate and then they headed back to Britain.

Scene 23: The party of five exits the moongate in Lord British’s throne room. On the throne a very sick Lord British sits slumped forward. Geoffrey stands next to him. He runs up and gives Xena another big kiss on the lips and then says, “Welcome back heroes of Britannia. We have a very special surprise for you all. If you would all just step this way. ” The party walks up to the throne. At the sound of some soft music they swing around to see a multi coloured moongate rise from the floor in the centre of the room. From it walks a man dressed in normal townsman clothes. Marah and Jaana at the same time scream, “AVATAR!” Gabrielle and Xena are also stunned to see a very familiar face. Xena almost falls to the ground she is so surprised. She gasps, “Joxer is that you?”

Joxer replies, “Yes it is me Xena, I was also the Avatar here. On your world, I was there to watch over you and Gabrielle. I deliberately played the fool so as you would not come to rely on me. I also want to tell Gabrielle how much I love her. I knew from when she was a simple farm girl she was to become a greater hero than me. She would be the greatest hero the Universe has ever seen.” With that said Gabrielle runs up to Joxer and gives him a huge long kiss on the lips. They kiss for what seems like several minutes. Gabrielle then tells Joxer, “I have been blind all along. I have never realized how I felt about you until now. Now I know I love you more than any man or woman could know.” They kiss again. Then Joxer speaks to the rest of the group, “In re-entering Britannia I have sacrificed my Avatarhood and my Titan of Either status. I see this land needs a new Avatar, in this case Avatars. Gabrielle, Xena, Vasagralem, Jaana and Marah come with me to the Codex.”

The party with Joxer leading the way enters the coloured moongate and is taken to the Codex. The Codex was large a leather book on a small altar at the top of the mountain. Either side of it was a red and blue lens with a brazier beside them. The lenses made it possible for both humans and gargoyles to read the Codex. There, Gabrielle, Xena, Vasagralem, Jaana and Marah recite an oath from the Codex and become the new Avatars of Britannia. With that done, the party head back through the open moongate and go back to the castle.

Joxer then says to Gabrielle & Xena “I have some more surprises for you.” From the same moongate comes a little blonde girl of about twelve years old. Xena immediately recognizes it as Hope, Gabrielle’s evil daughter and straight away reaches for her chakram. Joxer quickly explains, “Hold Xena there is nothing to fear from Hope now. I managed through very powerful magic managed to remove the evil part of her. That belonged to her father. I replaced that part of her sole with mine to make her sole complete. She is no longer evil.''’’ With that said she runs up to her mum yelling, “MUMMY!” Gabrielle seeing the truth in Joxer’s words gives Hope a big hug and kiss.

Joxer then interjects and says, “That is not the end of the surprises, far from it.” Then from the gate a tall lady steps forward. She was a very tall dark haired woman, wearing a long green dress. Xena screams, ‘Eve! It is so good to see you.” Eve runs to her mum and gives her a big long hug.

Then from the gate comes Autolycus king of thieves. He is a tall hansom with a small moustache. He is wearing long green hooded robe. He walks up to Gabrielle and gives her a friendly hug then gives Xena one. He then adds, “I never thought I would see you guys again. It is great to see you all.” Then the three have one big hug together. Then from the gate comes a woman who looks exactly like Xena except for a cheeky grin. Meg was now wearing a beautiful read patterned dress. Gabrielle and Xena yell “Meg!” They rush and give another old friend a hug. Meg then runs up to Joxer and gives him a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. She long knew that Joxer’s true love was Gabrielle, though she still loved Joxer deeply she had come to terms with it.

Then from the still opened gate comes a very beautiful tall blond woman. It was Aphrodite Goddess of love. She still wore her pink see through dress. She walked up to Gabrielle and Joxer and said, “I always knew this day would come. Gabrielle congratulations on admitting your true feelings on Joxer.” To which Gabrielle just smiled.

Then the last two walked through the gate. It then disappeared behind them. It was Hercules and Iolaus. Hercules was his usual tall muscled self. He was wearing brown leather armor. Iolaus much smaller and stockier in stature also wore brown leather armor. They also ran up and gave all their old friends a big hug. The now very large group started chatting about old times, and their respective home worlds.

Geoffrey then interrupts the large group and tells them they should have a big celebration dinner then sleep for the night, as there is more surprises installed for them in the morning. With that everyone heads for the dining room, where a big feast is had by all. The dining room is on the ground floor of the castle. It was east of the main entrance. Their Xena and Geoffrey are forming a very close bond. Joxer and Gabrielle were renewing their special bond. She was so glad to have him back as she had missed him terribly. She knew her life would be much happier now. At the end of the feast, everyone goes to sleep in the guestrooms on the second floor.

Scene 22: The next morning the party is summoned after breakfast to the throne room where a very weak king softly speaks, “I am very old and cannot continue my role as King of this land. I have decided to name my successor. Unless there are any objections I name Gabrielle as the new Queen of Britannia.” There were none. Only cheers from the large group. Lord British continues, “Gabrielle please approach me and kneel.” She does so as Lord British speaks, with his right hand on Gabrielle’s head, “Gabrielle do you promise to rule under the eight Virtues of Britannia?” Gabrielle replies, “I do.” With the power invested in me, I name Gabrielle as the new Queen of Britannia. Gabrielle please stand and face your new land.” Lord British concluded. Gabrielle then turns and faces the group and speaks, “I am honored to be your Queen. I shall do my very best to rule under the Virtues. My first order is to have Xena, Marah and Jaana as new members of the Britannian council.” The three accept straight away.

With those formalities out of the way Geoffrey walks up to Xena and kneels, “Xena would you do me the honor and give me your hand in marriage?” Xena without hesitation says, “I do.” Then Joxer walks up to the Queen and also proposes. Gabrielle also accepts. Jaana then yells, “Fantastic! Tomorrow we shall have a double wedding celebration. Followed by the biggest party our world has ever seen. Let the news be spread to every city.” The guards leave the room headed for the city. The group begins preparing for the next day. When night falls the group spends one last night in the guestrooms of the castle.

Scene 23: The weddings are held in the cathedral of Love in Britain. The whole city is invited and the cathedral was packed to the rafters. The cathedral is a huge building with symbols of the eight virtues along both sides. Everyone was there except Lord British who was too ill to attend. Xena, Gabrielle and Joxer’s friends and family sat at the front. Just before the two brides were due to enter they got word to hold up for a short while. Lord British had somehow found the strength to get up and told his minders he did wish to attend the wedding. With help from a couple of the minders, he was able to make it to the cathedral. The people were overjoyed to see their former king attend. He was helped to a seat in the front, sitting between Janna and Marah.

The double wedding was full of colour and sound with all the people cheering. Gabrielle was wearing a beautiful white wedding gown. It had a 20-meter long train behind it. She wore an incredible golden crown. It had diamonds, rubies & sapphires all around it. Xena wore a similar wedding gown but its train was 15 meters long. Joxer and Geoffrey wore magnificent long regal green robes.

The wedding began with the four couples singing a song with the backing of the cathedral choir a beautiful song called ‘will be one:

We are the one, oh are we
Holding me close in this world where we belong
And I know in my heart we'll be fighting
For I believe the day has gone
Where we all raise our hands together
And hope that this day would be soon to all
We can run side by side forever to follow our dreams
And hope that this needs will be one
I'll remember forever
This day we say goodbye till we're here most by your side
And as the flame burns so bright in your eyes above
Shining a light as our journey are tonight
So let's all raise our hands together
And hope that this day we'd be soon to own
We can run side by side forever to follow our dreams
And hope that this needs will be one

I can't believe the end's gone
Friendship just be gone
The nations join to be a better world
So let's our future to be solved
Together we'll get hold of that joy
To all the world

Then it was time to give their wedding vows. Joxer’s wedding vow to Gabrielle, “Gabrielle I want you to know that I have loved you ever since I met you many years ago. I vow to always love you through whatever the future throws at us, weather that is evil or good. This union is for all eternity. I vow to follow the eight virtues when I am with you.” Then Gabrielle gave her vows, “Joxer even though it took me a long time to admit how much I love you, I always enjoyed being with you and I always wanted to be with you. You can always make me smile even in the saddest of times. I know my heart and I do love you and vow to always love you whatever the future throws at us, whatever that is. Oh I love you so much Joxer.” As she completes her vow a small, tear of joy excapes her right eye. The head monk then completes that ceremony with, “You may now kiss the bride.” Then a beaming smile comes from Gabrielle as Joxer gives Gabrielle a big long kiss.

As they kiss, a large red form rises above Joxer. Then it forms into a large red demonic face with very bright yellow eyes, very familiar to all the land. It is the Guardian. Everyone in the cathedral let out a large gasp at the sight of him. The Guardian yells, “Now I will finish the job that my armies of monsters started!” As he spoke those words, the Candle of Love rose from the floor in the center of the cathedral and a beam of light shone from it that hit the Guardian. As it did the Guardian screamed Nooooooooooooo!!!!" Then he was gone forever. The candle the in its mystic voice spoke, “People of Britannia know that the Guardian is defeated forever. With Gabrielle’s true love in his sole, the Guardian could not exist inside him. Being greatly weakened by the former Avatar’s sacrifice, I was able to destroy him forever. Then the weeding continued.

Then it was time for Xena and Geoffrey to give their vows. Geoffrey vows, “Xena even though we have only known each other for a short time, I feel I have known you for much longer. I know our souls are united in love and I know that this love is forever. Thank you for coming into my life and sharing this love.” Xena vows, “Geoffrey I know our souls are united in love in front of all Britannia and will be united forever. Thank you for making me feel so complete and I vow to remain with you for all eternity. I vow to spent my life loving you.” The head monk then continues, “Geoffrey you may now kiss your bride.” Then Geoffrey gives Xena a long kiss on the lips.

After the four completed their vows, they were startled to here mystic music coming from the centre of the cathedral. It was the Candle of Love again. Everyone in the cathedral faces the candle. Then the candle speaks, “Can the Newly Married couples stand around me please” in its mystic voice. Xena, Joxer, Gabrielle and Geoffrey do as the candle asks. The candle then speaks again, “Please hold hands.” The four hold hands around the candle. The candle speaks, “Please share with me how you feel about each other and I will share it with the Universe.” The four close their eyes. Then from the Candle of Love a Light shines. It gets brighter and brighter. In under a minute it fills the Cathedral and everyone is filled with a powerful feeling of Love. The Light then sweeps across Britain, then the rest of the land. All of Britannia is feeling the same Love as the newly married couples.

While the scene with the candle lasted everyone in the cathedral broke into a song titled ‘The Flame’:

Is this the hope of the world in my hands
I'll take this moment, to be all that I can
Look to you to see the future
Stronger and free

Today we will show who we are
We are Britannia
And we're together again
My friends, will you show us the way
We travel on, guided by the flame

The fire within makes you reach out to the goal
You redefine the best, by stretching the soul
A world in need of inspiration
And looks to you and me

Today we will show who we are
We are Britannia
And we're together again
My friends, will you show us the way
We travel on, guided by the flame

Since ancient times we've come together
In the light of the flame
To stand for all the world to see
People reaching out to greatness
And all we can be

Today we will show who we are
We are Britannia
Together again
Today you will show who you are
The best on Britinnia, and you bring the world together again
My friends, you have shown us the way
Look to your heart
You will find the flame

The whole globe of Britannia was glowing with Love. This magnificent white light then spread forth throughout the cosmos. Passing through Galaxy after Galaxy. All this took only minutes. When the vision turns back to the Temple the Candle speaks, “Gabrielle for accepting the Love of others and returning that Love to all you have become the very embodiment of Love for the Universe. I thank you the Universe thanks you. Your ultimate destiny has been reached. Remember the three principles, Truth, Love and Courage. Also remember the secret from which they sprung Infinity! Let your Truth, Love and Courage be infinite and so will this new era of peace.” After that Geoffrey, Xena, Joxer and Gabrielle with the backing of the cathedral choir sang a Britannian anthem and Lord British favourite song, Stones. A magic organ filled the cathedral with music.

Long ago ran the sun on a folk who had a dream
And the heart and the will and the power:
They moved earth: they carved stone: moulded hill and channeled stream
That we might stand on the wide plains of Wiltshire.

Now men asked who they were, how they built and wonder why
That they wrought standing stones of such size.
What was done neath our shade? What was pray’ed neath our skies
As we stood on the wyrd plains of Wiltshire

Oh what secrets we could tell if you’d listen and be still
Rid the stink and noise from our skirts.
But you haven’t got the clue and perhaps you never will.
Mute we stand on the cold plains of Wiltshire

Still we loom in the mists as the ages roll away
And we say of our folk “they are here!”
That they built us and they died and you’ll not be knowing why
Save we stand on the bare plains of Wiltshire

After the singing of stone everyone except the newly married couples sung anther song in celebration of what the four had achieved, titled ‘Heroes live forever’:

You are the light that shines in everyone
The truth that's there for all to see
You are the voice that speaks to everyone
You're the heroes we'd all like to be

You live the dreams that lie within our soul
With a passion that cannot be denied
You bring the whole world together as one
And we'll always be by your side

And all the world will join in celebration
And all the world will share the joy you bring
And all the power the hope and inspiration
In all their glory the nations all will sing

Heroes live forever
Heroes live forever
Always we'll remember
Heroes live forever

Since the dawn of history
(Since the dawn of history)
In searching for our destiny
(In searching for our destiny)
To be the best that we can be
(To be the best that we can be)
Heroes...

Heroes live forever
Heroes live forever
Always we'll remember
Heroes live forever

Heroes live forever
Heroes live forever
Always we'll remember
Heroes live forever...

After all that the weddings were over. In the City a day and night long celebration began. All other cities also celebrated. Mages from around the world used magic to create fireworks once night set in. The whole world was alight with colour. Never had the people been so happy. The newly married couples each retired to individual rooms to continue to celebrate. Now the Gabrielle was Queen she was shown to her royal bedroom. It was magnificently a adorned room. In the center was a huge King sized bed. It had purple and pink sheets. There were two large chest of draws against the side of the room. There was a large round mirror on the wall opposite the bed. Xena’s new room was very similar, just a bit smaller. Both rooms were near Lord British’s bedroom on the first floor. Both located at the rear left of the castle.

Once Gabrielle had Joxer to their royal bedroom she closed the door and sat him on the bed. Then standing in front of him she sung of beautiful song just for him. This one was called ‘Dear to Dream’.

I am my own believer
In my heart the reason
I will follow the light from within
I'm not afraid of weakness
I'm gonna taste the sweetness
Of the power not to give in
I will see it through
I believe this is my moment of truth

Dare to dream
Dare to fly
Dare to be the ever chosen one to touch the sky
Dare to reach
Dare to rise
Find the strength to set my spirit free
Dare to dream

I will go the distance
Embrace resistance
I will lay my soul on the line
When the wait is over
And the hunger has spoken
If I give my all I will shine
I will see it through
I believe, this is my moment of truth

Dare to dream
Dare to fly
Dare to be the ever chosen one to touch the sky
Dare to reach
Dare to rise
Find the strength to set my spirit free
Dare to dream

And the heart will shine like the sun
A million voices together as one
I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe

Dare to dream
Dare to fly
Dare to be the ever chosen one to touch the sky
Dare to reach
Dare to rise
Find the strength to set my spirit free
Dare to dream

Dare to fly
Dare to be the ever chosen one to touch the sky
Dare to reach
Dare to rise
Find the strength to set my spirit free

Find the strength to do what I believe

After that Gabrielle showed Joxer tricks in bed that he had never seen before. Xena did the same with Geoffrey. The next morning Joxer told Gabrielle that he had never had such an experience, as she used her extreme fitness to good effect. Joxer had never felt so alive. She was amazing. Even Xena could not match Gabrielle’s efforts in that room.

Scene 24: The group with Xena and Gabrielle’s friends and family meet at the royal Dining room the following morning. They enjoy a large breakfast.

After breakfast Xena, Gabrielle and Joxer say goodbye to their old friends, Hercules, Iolaus, Aphrodite, Meg and Autolycus who wanted to return to their homeland. Eve and Hope agreed to stay in Britannia with there new families. Gabrielle used her powerful magic to create a Black Gate to take their old friends back home.

Gabrielle turned to Xena and said, “Xena does a Royal Queen outrank a warrior princess?” Xena giggles and concedes, “Yes Gabrielle it does.” Remembering that day many years ago when Gabrielle was named a Queen of the Amazon’s, Xena realizes that her best friend had come a long way since they first met at Gabrielle’s home many, many years ago. The student had surpassed the teacher.

After that, Joxer told Gabrielle, Xena and Geoffrey that they should go the Buccaneer’s Den for their Honeymoon. “We can get their by dragon believe it or not. We can get a couple from Dungeon Destard. Gabrielle once we find them you cast the ‘Charm’ spell and then we will be able to ride them all the way to the Island. We can get to the Dungeon via the Orb of the Moons. We will meet here in one hour when we are ready to leave.” The group heads to their rooms. One hour later they are back together ready with backpacks. With that the party of four enters a moongate and leaves the city.

A couple of hours later the four are flying over Britain heading east to Buccaneer’s Den. Gabrielle then got a good look of how large the capital is. It was truly a massive city. The shops and homes spread over many miles. She could just make out Paws to its south, almost part of Britain.

Gabrielle and Xena rode on one Dragon holding hands tightly. Even though they are both married their Love for each other is stronger than ever. With Joxer and Geoffrey on the other. All laughing enjoying the ride. They then fly over the ocean and disappear into the distance.

Scene 25: The group arrives at Buccaneer’s Den around midday. They land the tamed Dragons near the cities Baths. The Baths were another large building near the center of the island. The owner of the baths greats the four, “Welcome to ‘The Buc’s Baths. Please enjoy my services. Enter and relax no one has earned it more.”

With that, the group enters the large building where Joxer and Geoffrey head for the massage tables. A couple of sexy young women give the men a great massage. One was about 5 foot 8 inches and had dark brown hair. She had an almost caramel like tan and gorgeous blue eyes. The other was of similar height but had a lighter tan and was a little thinner. She had dark blond hair. Both just wore a red towel around their middle and had a very small top above that covering their medium sized cleavage.

Xena and Gabrielle head for the famous spars. They undress and enter one together. This brought back many happy memories for the two heroes. They just sat in the spar holding hands. Looking at each other not wanting to say a word. They just enjoyed smiling at each other in the hot bubbling soapy water.

A couple of hours later in the late afternoon the four meet up again and decided to head to the casino for a bit more fun. The four enjoyed the casino quite a bit. Xena did quite well winning quite a bit of money mainly on the Rat Race game. In that game all you had to do was guess which rat would get to the end of the table first. They decided the winnings could be given to the poor. With that they walked to the local inn and retired for the night.

Final Scene: The next morning the four ride their Dragons back to Britain. Again Xena and Gabrielle rode together. Xena then spoke to Gabrielle, “I always knew we would spend eternity together, but never in such a beautiful world.” Gabrielle just smiled. Joxer and Geoffrey rode the other Dragon. When they arrived in Britain Gabrielle released the Dragons from the charm and set them free. The four heroes then strode up to the castle to begin their official duties. The Dragons flew back to the comfort of their Dungeon. It was now time for these four heroes to get to work and lead Britannia into a golden era of peace. There first duty would be overseeing the repairs to each city after this most savage of assaults. So Britannia could be restored to its former beauty. Joxer runs up to Gabrielle and says, “Thank you Gabrielle for everything you have done for me and for everyone. I always had faith this time would come. I now know the ultimate happiness. I truly love you.” With that Gabrielle replies, “I truly love you to Joxer.” She then gives him a passionate loving kiss. Each shed a tear from their eyes. The emotions between the two were almost overwhelming. They had been through so much over so long. With that the group enters the castle proper and The AGE OF LOVE HAS BEGUN.
The Beginning…
