When Ares calls upon the furies to bring madness and persecution against Xena they inflict Xena and she goes crazy, not crazy enough to kill Gabrielle but crazy enought o make the Furies believe that Ares is her father.
Again the Furies are called upon to bring madness, this time on Gabrielle, they tell Gabrielle thoughts-to make her kill Eve, which she does, but then Ares brings her/& Gabrielle back to life.
The last encounter Xena has with the Furies is when Xena comes up with a plan where she lets a mortal Ares beat her to death, Xena and Ares fight and she edges him on to fight like a man, he does and he ends up knocking Xena into a freezing cold bed of water, where Xena dies, and then she kills the Furies with her Chakram-once and for all, no more madness, persucution, or anything. |
