| The evil daughter of Dahak, even as an innocent baby Hope wasn't innocent at all-killing in cold blood. Gabrielle had hoped her baby would be "good" and wanted the best for her daughter, but all she got was pain and despair. Gabrielle wasn't able to kill her own flesh and blood, so she put her in a basket and let her drift in the river-causing a major rift between Xena and Gabrielle. Hope comes back and kills Solan, adding on to the rift, Hope was eventually killed by Gabrielle when she sacrificed herself in order to save Xena's life-although Hope was still able to come back to life-because Ares had "zapped" himself into the lava pit and saved Hope and Gabrielle from their "deaths." Hope tries to kill her grandparents but fails when Xena and Gabrielle stop her, in the end Hope is killed by her own son, and they're both never heard from again. |
