| I suspect by now you're wondering about the exact rules for submission, so I made this section. It is done in a question and answer format. Q: Where do I submit my artwork to? A: xenitemonthly@yahoo.com Q: What exactly do you need me to send you? A: Your name, e-mail adress, any comments you wish to make about your piece, and of course, the piece itself. Q: Can I send you the link where my piece is posted? A: NO. I want the pictures as an attachment. I won't accept direct links. Q: What format do you want the pictures in? A: Jpeg format. It's the best. I *can* change it, if you can't, but it's really annoying, and I can't guarantee the quality. Q: What types of mediums (ie; pencils, ink, crayon, paint) do you allow? A: Anything goes. Q: Are montages allowed? A: Yes. I do consider them art. I also suspect that if I don't allow them, I won't get enough submissions Q: Is nudity allowed? A: No. Implied nudity is just fine, but any details (ie; breasts, genitals) will not be accepted. Q: If I win, what do I get? A: A funky award, (I mean a graphic) plus you get to pick the topic for another month. Q: Who is this contest open to? A: Anyone. Young, old, male, female, subtexter, shipper, whatever. The contest was designed to unite Xenite art on the web. Q: What if my art stinks? A: I don't care. Q: What about original characters? Are we allowed to have those in the picture we submit? A: Yes, so long as it does deal with a character from the show. It cannot be an original character qand nothing else. Also keep in mind that most people don't like original characters, so they probably won't vote for you. |
