Light glints off the diamond turned wheels accented with red spokes while unique badging and chrome detailing identify this limited edition. Inside the quiet cabin, the warmth of handcrafted burl walnut graces the fascia, control panel, door inserts, center console and rear pull-down picnic tables.  High-intensity reading lamps and individual headrests give the contoured rear seats the comfort of a favorite reading chair, while red sheepskin rugs counterpoint wine red carpets."

The Jaguar Majestic is a very beautiful and rare creation of the legendary Jaguar Motorcars, Ltd. of Coventry England. Jaguar Majestics were imported for sale in North America, in very limited quantities, for the model years of 1990 and 1992.  Offered as Jaguar's top-of-the-line, four-door sedan, the Majestic possessed all features available in the common XJ6, Sovereign and Vanden Plas Jaguar models.  The Majestic featured a stunning custom paint, wheel and interior design - launching it a step above the luxurious Vanden Plas model.  The Majestic was unique from the standpoint that it was available in only one color - metallic Regency Red - and was delivered equipped with diamond turned alloy wheels with spokes painted to match.  Additionally, special gold plated badges were affixed on either side of the rear license plate - subtly setting the car apart from other Jag XJ6's.  In keeping with the exterior, the Majestic's interior was available in only one distinctive scheme. The seats and trim were surfaced with magnolia tanned Connolly Leather and accented with mulberry piping.  Wine colored carpets and plush, red sheepskin rugs covered the floor of each Majestic.  Also, the driver and front passenger seat backs came equipped with unique aircraft-style, fold-out picnic tables.

The Majestic was fitted with a fuel injected 4.0 liter, dual overhead cam, inline six-cylinder engine with computer-controlled ignition complimented by a four-speed automatic transmission with a lock-up torque converter.

Packed with creature comforts and performance features, the limited edition Majestic was delivered with an equally exotic price tag.  The price (new) of the Majestic featured here was $53,000 (based on U.S. 1990 Model Jaguar Pricing - XJ6: $39,700. Sovereign: $43,000. Vanden Plas: $48,000.  Vanden Plas Majestic: $53,000).
