Laugh If You Will
By: Kiyane Lawery
Dark shining moon
You mock me as you watch my pain.
I've sought you out every night
To relieve the agony
Of my defeat.
Yet the man inside still smiles
Laughing at my moment of weakness.
I confide in you
Knowing my secrets could never be told to dangerous ears.
My only downfall
Is to have your light bring back
The pain of your lack of feeling.
I guess I come back to you
Only to vent.
Secrets stop at you
Though you mock me as you watch my pain.
