If you are having trouble making knots, you may need to hold the tool in your
other hand or wind the cord in the other direction around the tool.
It is possible to make the knots with either
"left handed" or "right handed" coils.
Due to the way the cord is twisted, it is much easier to make knots with coils that have
the same handedness as the twist in the cord.
The
instructions from Our Lady's Rosary Makers
shows the way that is easier when using cord from Our Lady's Rosary Makers.

After you remove the knot from the tool, hold the knot so that the long end of the cord is coming
out between your thumb and index finger while supporting the weight of the beads by curling
your other fingers.
