Water aerobics incorporates a variety of body movements and dance steps performed in water.
Water aerobics are conducted in waist to chest deep water and in the deep end of the pool.Classes last about one hour.Many aerobic classes provide a toning and strengthening time as well as
the aerobic portion.The main purpose of water aerobics is to improve Cardiovascular conditioning.
 
  All ages and fitness levels can enjoy water workouts.Also, people witch health problems.(Only if oked by thier Doctor)People with arthitis,neck,back,and obesity problems may be to embrarressed to exercise on land and can work out more comfortablely in the water due to less stress on the body.

   When in chest deep water 85% to 90% of the bodys weight is supported as a result,less stress is placed on the bodys joints than during similar exerises on land.What aerobics useses more
energy than a similar land based exerise,because of resistance of the water.Average person burns 450-700 calories during one hour of aerobics exerise.You will see quicker results when exerising in the water compared with the same exerise on land.

  There are many types of equipment and gear.Gryo-joggers are worn on hands and feet to increase resistance in the water.Barbells are used for toning and weight traing.Flotation belts-holds you in proper aligment-used in deep water classes.

  Water aerobics is a safe way to get a great work out,less stress on the joints and great for people with health problems. Burns more calories due to the resistance than land exerise gives.You will also see quicker results than the same aerobics on land.So take a class;you will be hooked.
