Never Too Late: After Two We Rock Out
by Tim Krysko

I had to listen to this EP a few times to let the songs grow on me, and grow on me they most certainly did.
I quickly came to recognize the tracks from this album as the best heartfelt, romantic punk rock ballads since the Ataris "San Dimas High School Football Rules" and A New Found Glory's "Hit or Miss". Those are some trendsetting punk ballads by two of the premier punk bands, and Never Too Late belongs in the same sentence. Great lines like, "Last night in my dreams you found the key to my heart. We listened to the last leaves as they hit the ground in the park" will leave you breathless in the context of these great songs.

Great lyrics aside, the music behind them deserves mention as well. The raw emotion-driven drumming gives a great backbone to this captivating and powerful wall of sound. The guitar hooks grab an emotional response, making it impossible to to not relate to these songs. A good fast paced beat keeps the energy in these songs, making sure it doesn't, and I repeat, DOESN'T fall into an emo trap. These songs will definitely get a crowd moving. For $8 at MP3.com, and three songs to hear before you buy, you'd be a fool not to give these guys a chance. Six songs that will indeed make you want to phone your girlfriend. Excellent songwriting on an utterly impressive EP.
