B.D's Biography

John Payne was born on March 22, 1977 in the small town of Clifton Park. He started wrestling freestyle (the real kind) when he was in second grade. By the time he was in 6th grade he was a national junior wrestling champion. In 7th gtrade he began taking professional wrestling classes at a nearby school in Albany New York. Around that time he parents separated and John developed a insane rage and a very short temper. John's promising high school wrestling career was cut short when he lost a match and lost his temper and kicked the crap out of the ref and his opponent in 10th grade. Although he was banned from wrestling in the school he continued to wrestline at local wrestling clubs and in tournaments in the summer. He was expelled from school his junior year for selling drugs and beating up the football players. His senior year he was voted least likely to succeed and most likely to end up in solitary confinment.

Even with all these downfalls he still got a wrestling scholarship to Ohio University. He had two clean years in colledge in which he won the NCAA Division 1 titles and had undeafeated seasons. His 3rd year in college was the year he was accused but aquitted of violently beating his g/f and the man she was having an affair with to death with his bare hands. At that time he dropped out of college gave up drugs and joined the U.F.C. After much success there he joined the GWA under the name The Black Dragon.
