So many things to say

But don’t know how to say them

Comes from too much silence.

So many feelings

But don’t know how to express them

Comes from too much loneliness.

So much love

But don’t know what real love is

Comes from too many rejections.

So much wiser

But don’t know what to do with it

Comes from numbness.

  Now I know what to do

But don’t know if I can do it

Comes from lack of confidence.

So much pain

But won’t let it hold me down

Comes from the heart.

Shut away for so long

Lost in your own self pity and longing.

Longing for so much more

But afraid.

Afraid to move forward

To take chances and risks.

Taking risks comes from confidence,

The confidence in ones self to accept failure.

Failure that can eat away at you

If you don’t find courage.

Find courage to accept life

And all it throws at you

Or remain numb

Where nothing can touch you.
