The
main purpose of XSEC project was to develop a user authentication and
identification system that could work upon biological features of the user
delivering high precision to be used for different high security purposes.
This is the documentation section of XSEC-2.1 that deals with everything
from the system planning to XSEC-2.1 beginners help manual. Go to "System
Overview Documents" to know more about how and where the idea of XSEC came
from? To start using XSEC-2.1 go to the "Beginners' Help Documents" section.
Install Section

to start installation process. Make sure that JDK and JMF is istalled in
your system, else install it from the links provided below.
Note for the Evaluation Version:
Evaluation version has
some limitations as listed below.
1. XSEC-2.1 evaluation
version limits maximum of 10 users at a time. At a single time maximum of
10 users can only be accommodated. If any extra user needs to get enrolled
then one trained user has to be deleted.
2. There is no security for the Administration server login. It means any
general user can log into the XSEC Admin server and make any changes.
3. To run XSEC-2.1 on a local computer, supply SERVER IP = 127.0.0.1
4. Ultimately, XSEC-2.1 evaluation version is not for commercial purpose
rather it provides a demonstration how to use the system.
