BOXES!!!


  • Acrylic box Used to get free three-way calling, call waiting, and programmable call fowarding on old 4-wire telephone systems.

  • Aqua box Escape from an FBI lock-in trace by draining voltage.

  • Beige box A box that emulates a lineman's handset. Check out the phreaking section for lineman's handset info.

  • Black box Allows people to call you and not get charged for it! No long distance charges!

  • Blast box This box will amplify a phone's microphone piece.

  • Bloto box The infamous box that will supposedly short out every phone in a calling area. The "a-bomb" of phreaking boxes, not sure if this actually would work, nor would I wana mess with it.

  • Blue box The famous blue box, which interacts with Bell trunks using 2600 HZ tones and enables free phone calls. Rarely used anymore due to crack downs by the phone companies. Still used internationally, however.

  • Brown box Creates a party line from two separate phone lines.

  • Canadian box Canadian Redbox tones.

  • Cheese box This will allow you to turn your phone into one that acts like a payphone. So, what then? Well, redbox yourself some free phone calls, that's what.

  • Chrome box This cool box will let you change traffic signals where it is possible. Emulates the same technique that police and EMS crews use to blow through intersections safely!

  • Clear box - Use this box to make free calls on Fortress Phones. Contains a telephone pickup coil and a small amp.

  • Color box - When hooked to a computer phone line you can record in/outgoing calls and get passwords, etc.

  • Copper box - Causes cross-talk interference on an extender.

  • Crimson box - I don't know whether to call this a box or not but, it acts as a hold button on your phone (wow).

  • Dark box - Re-routes outgoing or incoming calls to another phone.

  • Dayglo box - Same as the bud box (alows you to tap into a neighbor's phone line).

  • Divertor box - Same as the Dark Box (see above). Will enable re-routes of incoming/outgoing calls to another phone.

  • DLOC box - Enables the conferencing of two phone lines, other than your own line.

  • Gold box - Allows tracing of calls, trace detection, and changing of traces!

  • Green box - Allows emulation of coin collect, coin return, and ringback tones on payhpones.

  • Infinity Transmitter - When placed inside some ones phone it does not ring, and you and the caller can hear what is going on at the victims house.

  • Jack box - Basically a tone dialer, or a touch-tone key pad.

  • Light box - This tells you how to construct
    an AM transmitter.

  • Lunch box - Same as bud box and dayglo box. Allows you to tap into a neighbor's phone line.

  • Magenta box - Connects two remote phone lines to each other.

  • Mauve box - Taps into the nearest phone line (quite weird).

  • Neon box - Allows you to record tones or anything you want with your phone.

  • Noise box - Creats an annoying noise in the victim's phone line and makes bad data transfers.

  • Olive box - Just serves as a phone ringer.

  • Party box - Gives you free 3-way calling, and will allow you to have 2 phone conversations at once.

  • Pearl box - Produces tones from 1-9999Hz.

  • Pink box - Allows you to hook 2 seperate phone lines together with 3-way calling and hold on either line.

  • Purple box - Acts as a hold button on your phone with indicator (LED).

  • Rainbow box - Kills a trace by putting 120v into the line.

  • Razz box - Another way of beige boxing, but still a bit different.

  • Red box - Produces 5c, 10c, and 25c (c=cents) tones on a payphone.

  • Rock box - Channel music from your stereo into your phone line through the headphone output.

  • Scarlet box - Creates a very bad connection, by putting static into the phone line.

  • Silver box - 4 new keys on your phone, which I do not know what they do.

  • Switch box - A legal box that features hold buttons, turning on/off of phone lines, conferencing, and switching phone to other phone line (made for 2 phone lines).

  • Tan box - Allows you to record a phone line.

  • Tron box - Decreases your electric bill.

  • Violet box - Yet, another way of beige boxing.

  • White box - Changes an ordinary touch tone keypad into a portable one.

  • Yellow box - I dunno.
