You've just lost a band member, Cameron Dean, guitarist. How come he left and was it an amicable split?

Cameron decided that playing in a band was not what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. He's going to get married, travel for a while and then settle in the USA (where his fiancee hails from). It was a sad thing for the rest of us, but in the end we understand and respect his decision. there were some tense moments of course - three years of comradeship don't come to an end easily - but we'll be OK.

Is it odd playing with Tom Fowler (new guitarist) after so long with somebody else?

On some levels yes, but then Ben and I have known Tom since we were 16 years old. Kneejerk (our old band) did a split CD and a tour with Abjure (Tom's old band) in 1998. Since then Ben and Tom have played together in Pale Horse, and Tom and I were in a band called The Record Buying Public for a while as well. So it's not all new playing with the guy - he's an old friend.

You're currently working on your new album....what can we expect?

Well, of course the sound will have changed a little from the first album. In part this is due to having a new guitarist, but it's also because we've been evolving as a band right since when we started, and change is a natural and positive thing. So i think we're trying to diversify somewhat - take into account the broad range of music that we're all into. And Tom's favourite bands are groups like Husker Du, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, and also Kerbdog. So that might or might not be a clue...!

Where did the song name 'I gave my eyes to Stevie Wonder' come from?!

That title comes from the film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", which is one of my all-time favourites. Go see the movie and you'll see where it fits in with the lyrical subject of the song. I hope.

What's the best band you've ever played with and why?

Uh, probably yourcodenameis:milo. We shared a bus with them for three weeks, and it was all ace. They're not only a very very good band, they're also lovely chaps as well. So probs them, I think.

If you could play with ay band in the history of time, dead or alive - who would it be?

That's a toughie... I'm really going to have to say something like The Clash, Circa 1977, or maybe The Beatles - someone unbeatably classic. In fact, i might just say Nirvana. There you go.

Where can you see the band in ten years time?

Haha, I hope doing something radically weird and different, evolved from where we are now. I'd like to see where we can go with this - hell, why not have an MD country record in 10 years time?? You never know. But the point here is I see us still together, still doing what we do. That's the important part of the answer.

Marmite - yay or nay?

Yay. Definitely yay.
