    How to Play Chinese Chess?

      Here is the answer.


    Menu

      Game

        New New game
        Open Open a game file to review
        Save Save the game into a file
        Save As Save the game into a different file
        Input Position Input game position
        Play on ICCS Play game on ICCS server
        Demo Let the computer to play with herself
        Switch Side Switch side with the opponent
        Force Move When computer is thinking, force it move now. (This may result a bad move.)
        Hint Move Make a move which computer thinks good. It is the move in the most recent thinking line.
        Draw End game, resulting draw
        Force Resign You resign or force computer to resign.
        Game Status Bring up a window to display the player, title, date and move text. If it is not a new game, you may change those information.

      Book

        Add Add current position into the openning book
        Remove Remove current position from the openning book
        Auto Learning If the auto learn option is on, computer will add position into the openning book when it thinks the position is good enough and the thinking is deep enough.

      View

        Piece Set Select the traditional or chess style graphic piece set.
        Board Color Select the default or user-defined board color.
        Effects Change the game effects
        Notation Specify the move notation. English notation uses the absolute position to denote a move. For example, h3e3 stands for a move from h3 to e3. Simplified Chinese notation uses relative distance to denote a move and is coded in GB2312 character set. The setting only affects the move display. it doesn't affect the file to save the game.
        Save Thinking Lines Save the thinking lines into a file "Thinkline.txt"
        Thinking Board Display/Hide small board showing thinking board
        Score Curve Display/Hide score curve window
        Pieces on Board Display/Hide display of the pieces on board
        Thinking Line Display/Hide thinking line window
        Piece Moving -> Drag and Drop Move a piece by draging a piece to the destination square.
        Piece Moving -> Click and Click Move a piece by clicking a piece and then clicking the destination square.
        Flip Board Rotate the board 180 degrees
