The light to show the path
It has taken many years
But I have found it at last
I will walk along that road
Trying to do the right thing
Knowing He is not behind me
But by my side, feeling my pain
He will help me to keep my head held high
Holding my hand when I need
While I will myself to not cave in
He reminds me that it's up to me
He shows me how to dig deep down
And find the strength in me
So that I will make the right decisions
And live a life thats free

Day, night or the early eve
But to make it to the other side
