Credo's Studies

This was one of the scrolls of research salvaged from Credo's studies after the fall of Lacathia.

This is something that I cannot explain.  The power of the force I know of called love.  We all come to know love as something by physical attraction and then maturing into a caring relationship.  But does this definition describe it well enough?  Here is an example of something I noticed walking through the forest awhile back.

It was a cold night and the moon was out.  The stars hung overhead in the sky as the night larks sang their heavenly tune.  But alone in the tall grass lay two young lovers.  The woman laid in the man's arms, almost lifeless.  Her breath was short and fast, and the man's was random and abrupt, almost as if he was crying.  He then kissed her gently on the cheek and laid her their to rest in the tall grass.  I then walked over to the couple seeing that the woman in the tall grass lay there dead with a wound in her chest.  Her blood stained the green grass red.  I then spoke to the man "What happened?".  The man just looked to me, and then he said something I shall never forget.

He spoke these words "This is my love Adara.  She saved my life...  We were attacked by a band of theifs comming through the woods.  We hid, hoping they would not see us.  But unfortunately... I sneezed.  The three theifs then turned to us and draged both of us out.  One of them pulled out a cross bow and pointed it at my heart.  Adara then shouted "no no" and jumped infront of me.  My heart was pounding from fear.  The theif then fired his arrow at her, and it plunged into her chest."  He began to cry at this point.  Slowly he sat down on the grass and I sat down with him, trying to comfort him the best I could.  He then continued after he faught back the tears for afew minutes "The theifs took off after they killed her.  I quickly took her warm body into my arms and then held her, hoping that the wound was not a fatal one.  Her eyes twinkled in the night sky as she gazed to me and said "Don't cry for me Aaron.  I am going to die happy... because i am in your arms.  Aaron Hornta...  I.......  Lo.. v.. e......  Y...o........u"  Those were her last words."  I just sat there beside him as he cried.  The tears came down like rain from his water filled eyes.  He told me of the times they shared, and that they were to be married.  He touched my heart with his stories better than any of the well known scribes.  He showed to me that love does not just mean a commitment, but it is something that cannot fully be explained in words...  It is something that must be experienced...
