The Kasai Defense Command - Overview

The Kasai Defense Command - Overview~ Honor -in- Death ~*~ {honestus|excessum} ~

The Kasai Army is no more. Now the Kasai Defense Command reigns over Kasai's battlefields. Every able-bodied patron of the land of Kasai is trained first as a soldier, then eased into a civilian life. The entire nation stands ready to defend; ready to die. Its people are the backbone upon which the nation was built. First well-disciplined (well being an extreme under statement) legionnaires, then katana-toting samurai, now an elite militant police force. They evolved with the technology of Kasai. Their basic combat regiment includes hand-to-hand, sword, staff, rifle, and pistol training. Every citizen-soldier from the engineers to the medics, and of course infantry, complete this training, and are capable of defending themselves, and their nation. Training is began as the child is able to stand. Small classes of fifteen or so are taught be veteran soldiers. Fundamentals of course. This is where boys learn to stand. As they grow they are taught to wield weapons, but more so they are broken down, so that they are humble, and that they listen to the wisdom their instructors have to offer. Around the age of seven the children are cast out from their homes (typically on their birthdays so that they might set out on the journey ahead alone), their communties, and the mainstream population in general. The absence can be anywehere from a few months, to a few years. However, the teacher can always determine the student's growth. And, a premature 'visit' would be met with harsh punishment. None the less, upon an individual's return, he is admitted into the KDC Hoex Academy. There the third stage of training begins, and the citzen determines what type of soldier they are to become. Throughout this stage of training, along with the fine tuning of abilities present, the soldier is taught to be proficent with all KDC regulation arms, Kasai's Code of Honor is instilled, morality, patriotism; all things reinforced. Thus, a mjority of them carry themselves as what would seem to most as warrior-priests. Satirical, community-serving, humble and observant of one's superiors, and ruthless in battle. The Naval Corps was recently added to the defense force. The Navy boasts a decent starfleet as well as it's sea-faring counter-parts. Several higher class cruisers,in addition its leviathan ocean-dwelling vessels. Like the Mech Corps, it's a small but growing unit. But one more thing changed in the reformation. The soldier's began to call themselves Hoex. "Honestus Excessum." Honor in Death. Fitting, yes?
