*Note* CO and the succeeding number designate each officer's level. CO1 is read as Commissioned Officer Level 1. It is
just the same for enlisted persons; EP. Also, each heading lists first the Army title for the Combat, Combat Support, Mech, and Science Corps, then the Navy title for the Naval Corps. Lastly, the descriptions of each rank apply moreso to the army, though in certain translations and in a much broader sense, they do to the Navy as well.

Kasai Lord
Abbreviation: KLD
Rank: One black bar with four silver squares and a silver border.
Insignia: 
Description: The Kasai Lord is the ruler of Kasai, obviously. He is the absolute diplomatic and militant authority of the nation. Kasai Lord Derethar is the presiding Lord.
Kasai Lady/Vizier
Abbreviation: KLY/VIZ
Rank: One Silver bar with four black squares.
Insignia: 
Description: Wife (or wives) of the Kasai Lord. Ruler in his absence, unless of course a Kasai Lady is in power. There is/are currently no woman/women appointed Lady. The previous Kasai Ladies have been Kilara ReiZO, Sayuri ReiZO, and Irossa ReiZO; only Irossa lives, now wearing the rank of contessa. Viziers are former Kasai Lords/Ladies that have stepped down, but are not deceased. They are advisors to the current Lord/Lady, and if only through tradition, their words are often heeded and resepcted. The only living vizier of Kasai to date is Ichiro.
Viceroy/Contessa
Abbreviation: VIC/CON
Rank: One Silver bar with three black squares.
Insignia: 
Description: Siblings of the Kasai Lord/Lady. Also, but rarely, in-laws. However, Irossa is currently the only in-law to bear the title Contessa.
Prince/Princess
Abbreviation: PRI/PRS
Rank: One Silver bar with two black squares.
Insignia: 
Description: Children of the Kasai Lord/Lady. The title is altered for the child of age and merit for whom the throne is next, i.e. Prince Razzis ReiZO's title is Crown Prince where as any of his siblings would simply be Prince or Princess.

Description: Other family and/or friends associated with the family in power, the National Reizonnesh Sovereignity. Cousins, nephews, nieces, etc. Also, more often than not, in-laws
Kasai Defense Command
Grand General/Fleet Admiral

Rank: Double silver stars.
Insignia: 
Description: Superior officer among all others. The generals/admirals of the nation report to him/her as does he/she to the Kasai Lord/Lady.
General/Admiral
Abbreviation: GEN/ADM
Rank: A single silver star.
Insignia: 
Description: The second highest attainable militant rank. There is typically a general assigned to each state, to govern and police. CO5's are battle ready warlords. Though they aren't required by doctrine to do battle, merely command, Kasai Lord Ichiro I's generals tend to fight more often than most recruits. Now they serve Kasai Lord Derethar. Division/Brigade Commanders.
Colonel/Captain
Abbreviation: COL/CPT
Rank: A single silver bird.
Insignia: 
Description: CO4. Generally two or three assigned to each general, they have delegated power an report to their respective generals. Brigade/Battalion Commanders.
Major/Commander
Abbreviation: MAJ/CDR
Rank: A single silver leaf.
Insignia: 
Description: CO3's are administrative officers. Or, in certain cases solo operatives. Majors are often more effective in combat than an entire company. Specilaizing in unique styles and fields of combat, and trained thoroughly in guerilla warfare. If assigned soldiers, they are usually placed in command of two or three first sergeants. Battalion/Company/Spec Ops Team Commanders.
Captain/Lieutenant
Abbreviation: CPT/LT
Rank: Double silver bars.
Insignia: 
Description: The CO2 is your standard commander. They are proficent in all Kasai Defense Command mandated basic forms of combat, as well as regulation weaponry. As are the sergeants that report to them. Company Commander.
Lieutenant/Ensign

Rank: A single silver bar.
Insignia: 
Description: CO1's are the entry level officers. They are often tasked with assignments that outline their abilities. This later decides whether they will be considered for special operations, as well as other special assignments, and what corps they'll serve in most effectively. Company/Platoon Commander.

Rank: Triple chevrons with triple stars.

Description: EP10; As with the sergeants majors before them, they are partnered with the next level officer; generals. They report to, advise, and assist their generals in any way possible. Divison/Brigade Level.
Sergeant Major/Chief Petty Officer

Rank: Triple chevrons with double stars.

Description: EP9; Generally there is a sergeant major for each colonel. They report to their respective command sergeant majors, and colonels. Brigade/Battalion Level.
First Sergeant/Senior Chief Petty Officer

Rank: Triple chevrons with a single star.

Description: EP8; Combat elitist. They oversee the sergeants and report to their respective sergeant majors and lieutenants to ensure a smooth-sailing chain of command. However, a majority of first sergeants are solo operatives, and are sometimes put under the command of Majors. Company Level.
Sergeant/Chief Petty Officer

Rank: Triple chevrons.

Description: EP7, EP6, EP5; Sergeants are supervisory soldiers. They train, care for, and fight along side of their subordinate soldiers. There are three
levels of sergeants. Each commands more respect as well as responsibility than the one preceeding it. They all all refered to as and wear the insignia of 'sergeant.' Platoon Level.
Corporal/Petty Officer

Rank: Double chevrons.

Description: EP4; Soldiers often chosen as team and squad leaders, and in rare instances, they assume the duties of an EP5. They have taken advanced training classes and courses and demonstrate leadership that sets them aside from the average Kasai Defense Command solder. Platoon/Squad/Team Level.
Private/Crewman[Seaman]

Rank: A single chevron.
Insignia: 
Description: EP3; Soldiers that have taken the first steps of their military career. The core of the Kasai Army. Team Level.
Graduate
Abbreviation: GRD
Rank: Triple stripes.
Insignia: 
Description: EP2; Recruits that have completed the initial Kasai Defense Command training. Pending a placement exam they are privates awaiting promotion and unit assignment.
Trainee
Abbreviation: TRN
Rank: Double stripes.

Description: EP1; Recruits who are placed as team and squad leaders among other recruits. They have taken the intermediary classes and courses necessary to advance in rank.
