In order to recieve Jr.'s secret ethers and tech attack, you must defeat the Great Joe, thus how I named it "The Great Joe Sidequest". You need to first need to raech the Durandel and be able to have Jr. in your party. Put Jr. into your party and set him as the Onscreen Character or basically the character that walks around the place. Go to the Redidential Area of the ship and look for the room with the Shop Plate (It should look very silvery) and go to the side with the beds and closets. Blast the closet doors (just blast both because one room has a chest inside) and the Great Joe will appear. He'll challenge you to a fight. Make sure you are ready to fight a difficult battle. If not, refuse the battle until you're ready.He has 9999 HP and drops a swimsuit when you win.
After the battle, you get Jr.'s Magnum Joe ether and Soul Raspody tech attack. In order to get Buster Joe, you'll have to upgrade Magnum Joe from the Ether Grid. The more gnosis Jr. kills with Soul raspody, the stronger the ethers of Magnum Joe and Buster Joe become. Pretty cool huh?
