Rain

she hears the rain
it rumbles torward her window..
almost like,
what's going on in her mind
her thoughts always lead to him
no matter what she denies.
hidden behind the truth of powerful lies..
she can't escape what she feels..
so until then she'll just forget what's real.
and when that day she finally admits..
those three words that are hard to miss.
she'll be waiting..listening to the rain.

Wishes
it was never what she wished for
she wanted a perfect life
but instead she was cursed
her parents always fighting..
tears streaming down her face
she never wanted this to happen
but somehow it did without a trace
all she wanted was to be perfect
instead of hiding behind this fake smile
but its basically the only thing she can look forward too
using school and friends as a way to hide
from the sorrow lingering inside
and when she returns to this place her parents call home
all the tears start to fall.
and this is not what she wanted at all

Momma always said,
best friends never last forever
and I never wanted to believe it
but somehow it became true
did you turn your back?
why did you tell those lies?
what happened the sleepovers,
and the endless pillow fights?
where were you when I broke up with him?
to you was it just some ordinary night?
I thought best friends were always true.
but I guess its just some myth
because momma was right all along

I cut a heart out of construction paper
wrote your name across the top
then slowly tore it all apart
those first tears
those first heartbreaks
nothing is going to go back
everything's over.
these scars on my heart will never fade
the pieces are on the floor
all the secrets you kept from me
are no longer kept inside.
your friends told me everything..
and as im lying on the cold wood floor
thinking of everything they said
the pieces of paper still scattered around me
I can't just let this go
no matter how hard I try..
the feelings are never going to go away

I shut out the light
close my eyes
let my dreams take me to a place
where everything's right
he's all I ever wanted
and in this world
he's what I have and more
I finally belong to a place
and I don't have to hide my face
I can be my true self
he can say the three words i want to hear
where everything I ever wished for
can be mine in a matter of time
nothing's quite as it seems
but it doesn't matter to me..
there's no fears in this world..
except for the one..
when the daylight comes
and as I open my eyes
I realise..
everything's gone
he doesn't love me..
everything was just a lie
and what i thought was real,
is only but a dream afterall..

walking down the hallways
caught my self looking at you again boy,

what's the point of owning something broken

Your words are like bullets
they go straight to my heart
you said you loved me,
but obviously you didn't mean it
now I'm fading away,
and it's all your fault
who'd of thought it'd end this way
or to end so soon
I really thought we had something
but nobody can ever think right
so here I am, gripping tight
trying to save my self
I don't want to die now
but those bullets fly faster
and I just can't keep up..
