It can be fastened to the victim’s thumbs in more than one way, none of which they will enjoy. Once the device has been
positioned with their thumbs between the bars, the handle will be turned until the pressure felt by the teeth grinds their bones to
splinters. Should the people place the pointed tips on the victim’s knuckles, they will beg to tell everything. The thumb-bones
will be slowly separated at the joints, the tendons ripping and popping. Lastly, should they not divulge that which the people want
to hear, the studs will be placed on the tips of the thumbs, centering on the thumnail. Not only will the pain of the points biting
into their nerves be agonizing, but it will be aided by the cracking of the thumnails themselves as their sharp, broken edges bite
into the soft flesh beneath.
